U.S.A.:

My pick for the "Support" car is the Dodge Ram. Plenty of torque and can go offroad pretty much anywhere.

For the "Assault" car, I'm going with the C6 Corvette ZR-1. Relatively low tech, huge power, and can out run pretty much anything.

Support: Dodge Ram. Duh

Assault: Ford Thunderbird SVT, Because it's a pickup truck, and as all Americans know, nothing can be accomplished without a good base for a huge, unnecessary gun.
OR: The Holden super-pickups, Because GM owns Holden (International D*** Move :D )

Support vehicle: Lancia Delta S4 Rally Car
Assault vehicle: Ferrari 458.
 
Aw crap, the Delta is faking an oil leak. What did I tell you? lol jk. I had to continue my joke but I am done with the stereotyping of sports athletes
 
I know, I have a model of one in storage. I always loved how it looks, even back when I was 7 I remember having a toy of one and I thought it was the best car ever

I believe it also killed Group B. Then subsequently dominated Group A for 10 years. Luckily, the Deltas could hold together for 500 kms at a time. It is a legend though.
 
Ford GT for retreat, Jay Leno Tank car for assualt.
 
Rethinking- Support: Jensen Inteceptor, imagine changing the drivetrain to 4WD, chunky tires, luftwaffe desert paint scheme (If you watch TopGear you'll know), and a roof mounted 50.cal machinegun with a TOW launcher behind it.
Assault: TVR Tuscan, just use the same one from the Looney Tunes movie, btw it's one of the few things I can remember watching as a child I'm not weird or anything.... *cough*

Support: Land Rover Range Stormer
Assault: McLaren F1 Stealth Model

Both with big guns. Very big guns. One with big silencers. Really big silencers.
