X Box Controller for pc?

Does anybody know if the xbox controller will work for PC?

Because I have Halo:combal evolved for pc and I was wondering if I can use the x box controller for it?

There is an adapter that can convert the x box controller into USB..I was just wondering if the controller is going to be compatible with Halo for PC or if you can even use a controller at all?



NOTE: Damn....my mistake..I should've posted this on PC GAMING.. you people** can destroy this if you want*****
 
I would suggest searching google for what you're trying to do. There are several websites that talk about splicing a standard USB connector for the XBox controller.

However, the whole point of having Halo on your computer is the keyboard and mouse. Why go back to a controller?
