X-box Issues

Lately I have been having problems with my X-box. It has trouble with games that require constant loading. The X-box will either not load the game, or freeze up during gameplay. Is anybody having the same problems? If so, is there a way I can fix this without sending it in? It makes me mad. :banghead:

I know that they are cheap but you can't beat Halo and the revolution it brought to console 1st person shooters. That is the main reason I bought it. It is having problems running any program that requires constant loading like GTA 3 and Vice City. I havn't had any problems with my racing games. It would also freeze up periodically during Medal of Honor: Rising Sun. I took it back thinking it was the game, but I was wrong. Still confused. :confused:
 
I remember seeing Rising Sun on a friend's XBox and it was a shy comparison to the PC edition. That, and you can't upgrade it like the PC.
 
bad news buddy. microsoft quietly upgraded the xbox without telling anyone. the older thomson dvd drive (very problematic) was replaced by a samsung unit, with more thoughtful ventilation. other tweaks were made to improve it, just like sony did with their sneaky ps2 upgrades. If you have one from the first 2 years, you'll likely encounter some problems. My first one kept freezing when i was playing KOTOR during load screens (i was so hooked on that game too!) so i traded the thing in for a new one. No problems so far. and its quieter. and seems to load quicker. Still, I've seen many more ps2s fry themselves than xboxes (3 of my friends ps2s went kaput within 2 years)
 
Ok Thanks for the advice I think I am just going to trade it in like you did. It sounds feezible that Microsoft would do something like that. I also have been slowly moving over to PC gaming. :)
