Did anybody play this one?

"X-Motor Racing is an Indie racing simulator with accurate physics simulation.

X-Motor Racing offers an unique experience which hasn't similar experiences in the market. Customizable racing simulation. All is customizable because it's possible to modify all the car specifications, including the physics. This can be useful for many things. It can be useful for adapting a car to the real model car and to make it to behave as the real one, modifying the tyres physics to behave as slicks, to make the grip different depending on the temperatures, etc. "

You can download the latest version demo here.

The in-game SDK allows to create your own motion platform.

The mods are created by the community, that you can use to improve the game.

I'm downloading it now, it looks interesting. The videos suggest the audio is a bit pants though.

I've played it last night for 5 hours and was impressed with the driving physics. No other game has such an realistic and authentic handling like this game.

For those who've tried this, I'm interested in this unknown sim. How's it play? Is it worth the 50 or 80$ it advertises for the physics editor? Is it really super revolutionary as it says? How's it compare to rfactor?

I got the $50 Pro version recently. This sim (x motor racing) has the best driving physics and FFB I have found in any sim and I have lots of them! Modding is very easy. You get all tools to mod the game and really good support for it to help you learn it. They have dedicated servers in Europe and Australia. I'm expecting to have one in the US once. rF is outdated in terms of physics and graphics.

It may be outdated but the community is huge and active. As far as I seen on the forums for this there is activity but not as much. Plus my PC is not up spec to play anyways.

I just got this after having played the demo. It's no pCARS when it comes to graphics, but that 3D tyre model makes things interesting.
Also when it comes to modding it seems like the sky is the limit here. So I hope to see nice things in the future from this.

I just downloaded this to give it a try. My first impression is it's ok, it has nice FFB, but the tyre model isn't as good as I expected from reports on here. Assetto Corsa or LFS is more realistic in my opinion. The transition from wheel spin to grip is not realistic, it kind of steps from one to the other unrealistically, maybe there's some traction control settings I'm not seeing?

I think it's very basically setup. I have yet to try fiddling with the physics editor though.
I did boot the editor up and noticed that the cars in the demo had "arcade.phy" put into them, so arcade physics. In other words it's not properly dialed out.
In my opinion a strange choice from the game dev if he wishes to try to convince people to buy the game.

Yes a very strange choice, I wouldn't buy it based on the demo. I saw some settings for arcade and real physics but they were already on the most realistic settings. At first I was even wondering was it just the sound effects making me think it was like that, but I don't think it is.

I agree about pCars graphics.

The reason why I play XMR is its driving physics and the mods.
They have realistic specs and real handling especially with a wheel.
I've driven lots of cars in my life: BMW's, some Audis, Porsches, some Ferraris and Lambos, and of course lots of everyday cars.

If you don't like handling of some cars then you can easily change it. The suspension settings, tire model, aerodynamics, engine etc.

The performance is good without realtime shadows.

One of their modders announced Ferrari 458 a couple of days ago.

The physics model is good, really good. The sound depends on the car.
I can't compare it to FM4. Seems their budget is 1000 times smaller.

I bought this game instead of iRacing subscription.
The driving is very realistic and this makes the game worth a play.
Seems I must invest some time studying it.

Looks very interesting. Problem is my graphics card though.

Downloaded the demo to give it a try..............with my keyboard. :D
