While playing GT5, I started out with the FGT. After beating the game I got the X2010. When the DLC came out the X2011 came out and it was amazing. I got pretty good at it and was able to drive it very well. After some training with it I was able to keep control of it even whenever I was driving it to the max. I really would like to start an X1 team devoted to this car. The racing with this thing is amazing at full speeds. I'd like people to be serious about it if they say they want to do this. If we can get enough people, we can get tournaments set up strickly for the X2011. Hopefully there are some X1 lovers out there like me.

Peace,

It's not a real racing type in the real world. Only in GT5. They have models of the car though.

He's pointing out the fact that you posted this in the wrong section ;)

Trying to properly race these things without contact is near impossible.

It is VERY hard. That's why I think it would be cool to have a team of people who could control these things completely. The races would be super intense.

Sounds interesting. Wish I had time to do this. Leyba08 hosts x1 races almost every night. You should talk to him.

I've never found it to be a big deal. Even driving around with much slower traffic isn't overly difficult. You just need to remember you're taking corners at 220 mph and 120. It's like racing with any other car. Problems show up when you have a poor driver among you, but otherwise things should go OK.

Unfortunately though, I no longer play GT regularly, so I won't be joining this league.

The car takes skill to learn. That is what I'm hoping to accomplish. The X1 takes racing to a new level if it can be controlled correctly.

I would be interested but I need to know if you are particular to the x2011 or will both x2011 and x2010 compete? I'm particular to the x2010 and regardless of the horsepower change, unless we r racing at route X or Daytona, I've never met someone on a technical track I couldn't keep up with or beat, my 2010 vs their 2011.. Let me know! Thanks-

Either car is the same handling wise. We could do both. I actually like the thought of different types of X1's on the track. That would be more realistic.

I don't mean to offend you at all. Race these complete control sorry you have no chance unless your racing on the test track.

Mark, I know u post alot so I don't want to offend either. Do you have a G27, DFGT, or Thrustmaster? If so these car are surprisingly easy to control, i think the hardest part of this thread will be finding enough people that have that ability!?

There aren't many cars that can change line mid corner like the X1. You should try to anticipate where the other cars are going to be to avoid a crash, but even if you don't plan ahead you can avoid accident and contact mid turn. Racing the X1 isn't anything spectacular, thought it can be a whole lot of fun. All that speed feels very different when you're trading positions with another car instead of just lapping the track alone.

The last X1 room I joined raced on Suzuka, Nurburgring F, and I think a couple other tracks with three cars minimum and the worst that happened was a couple of offs.

I wouldn't mind helping to make a X1 promo race video or something if someone could record it. If not, someone could just upload the replay.

I just hope I'm not really slow after not driving the X1 for so long. And no ovals, driving the X1 on an oval is the worst thing ever lol.

It can make for some very exciting and clean racing if all racers can drive the X1 well. The problem can be if someone is just learning and isn't smooth or predictable when being passed. I was that guy when I first started out and would get hit. With practice the X1 can be driven very smoothly. It would be great to see more guys involved with racing X1s on technical tracks.

I do use a wheel and am well capable of taking LMPs aroundthe Nordshleife under 5.20 also racked up over 250 thousand miles in game. I race 90 percent online and have not met more than 2 people who can really handle the X2010 in any varient. IMO a field of 10 of these will lead to one thing. Someone being punted off, Yes handle handle and respomd well. Too well iand to quick for a human to be fully in control of.

After thinking about this, I think I could use a reason to use my X1s again. When are the try outs?

You're right. It is very possible to control these cars. It will just take time for some people to learn how to do it. Any racers that are seriously interested should add me on PSN.

I know. I definitely don't want to do oval tracks. Only technical ones. If we could find someone with a capture card, that'd be fantastic. I'd like to do some races whenever I get my Wi-Fi back up. And for the people who think this isn't possible, it definitely is whenever you have good enough drivers. A new driver would obviously not know how to drive one and would get frustrated with the X1. The drivers I want to have in this are ones that have devotion and know that extreme clean racing IS possible.

The only way to avoid the "clutter" of the cars is to do long races and have pit stops. This would keep the race fair and realistic. This would also put gaps between the leaders and other racers. Long tracks with many laps will give the drivers plenty of room to do a good race.

Ive played gt5 from the day it came out, i play nothing else, i race in a league thats very quick and usually hold my own, but racing in X1's is a joke if you truly value racing, I can hot lap in an X1 no worries, hit every apex and get quicker and quicker with each lap, as can my friends, but a whole grid of them will be chaos in the end, maybe a few laps will go by without incident but it will happen in a big way at some point.

If iam wrong and you can dice in X1's at full power without contact then i tip my hat to you.

It doesn't have to be a lot of cars. It could be just about five. If the people learned to control the car, then it is possible. There is a way to LEARN to do it.
