A lot of replies on here are from very good rspected drivers/racers and the overalls majority don't believe it to be possible. As I've stated a field full of these cars is goind to end up in carnage no matter how long the race is. Infact the longer you race fatigue and lack of concentration will drop rapidly causing more mayhem. You obviously think different so go ahead and the post the viseo of the event to prove us all wrong.

It could be said that those stating that the X1 can't be raced properly have as much to prove. Both sides have presented the same level of evidence: zero, and they are on even ground.

I'm curious as to how many people have even attempted to do a proper X1 race given the hate for the car that seems to exist at times and how rare it is online.

Haven't been racing X1s much the past few months so I jumped into Leyba's 40 lap race at Daytona Road last night. They were running 1005 HP X1s. Good warm up, but I prefer full power. Unfortunately even at reduced power 4 guys quit after just a few laps. It's not for everyone, even if they are very good at other types of race cars.

The people that are saying this can't work have never tried apparently. Yes if you had every spot filled on the track, it'd be too many people, but that's really the same with any car that is evenly matched. The X1 is just a hard car to race and it has to be learned how to drive it. Thanks to all of you who want to do this. Make sure to add me on PSN. I'm trying to set a date to have this tryout that will be good for everyone. Any times that wouldn't be good, for those of you joining?

Your just arguing all the time. Go and do this and show us the video to prove us all wrong. And yes before you ask I have golded the Vetal challange, so I do know how to drive it.

Show us proof instead od arguing please.

I'm not arguing. I'm trying to find people who know how to drive it and would be willing. If anything you are arguing by saying it's not possible. Whenever everyone is able to get together then we can practice on it.

I'm up for trying this. I normally race the X1 with penalties active but if there were a group of drivers putting in the time and effort to get fast it could be driven relatively cleanly, probably with barely more incident than a virtual F1 race. I'll send you a friend request Maiden.

Results are looking better and better! Getting excited to run with a group of people that can tame these beasts!!

I love the X2010 with 50% power limiter and +200 kg ballast. That way it feels like a futuristic F1 or LMP car rather than a bizarre killing machine. Much easier to control too. But I guess you're not looking for a team racing downtuned X1's...

(but if you are, I'm up for it!)

LEYBA08 is running a series using 1005 HP x1's. Races Wednesday and Saturday nights 10pm eastern. Send him a FR on psn if you want to race. The car handles much better without the extra weight.

Thanks for bringing this up Joe, I'd love it if some more drivers joined. You never know, I might lose a race! :p

That sounds like a challenge! :trouble: Can't make it tonight unfortunately. Summer time is busy. I'll get some practice in for Wednesday night. What track you guys doing Wednesday?

Damn, it's Laguna Seca, that's one of the tracks I'm worried about. That and Fuji... :scared:

So...is this X1 Team Tryout dead or something?

It's not dead, I'm just in the middle of moving houses and do not have wifi at the moment. After I get it back up, I'll be able to truely get into it.

So, even though I haven't been able to get up the money to pay for internet yet, I've been really practicing with the X1. I hope some of you have been loyal to it too lol. I really do hope to get my internet up soon so that I'll be able to race with y'all but until then we could practice and share lap times and compare. Let me know what y'all think.

Peace,
