This car looks just like a street legal version of the X2010.

It's British.
I stumbled upon this car by accident on tumblr.
My question is, was this car made after the publicity boom of the GT X2010? or was it made pre X2010?

The Caparo T1 was conceived long before the X2010. It was unvealed back in 2006, plus it was featured on an episode of Top Gear in 2007. Both vehicles obviously have a similar design, but the Caparo is based on what a road legal F1 car would be like, so seeing as it's built in the UK, it would have to pass the Single Vehicle Approval scheme in order for it to become road legal. The X2010, as you should already know by now, is based on what an F1 car would be like if there were no racing regulations.

On the subject of cars that sort-of-but-don't-really-look-like-the-X2010, have a look at the Hulme Canam Spyder. Introduced around the same time as the Caparo.

Cars like these always remind me of that 1990's Michelle Vaillant cartoon, Heroes on Hot Wheels.

Anyways, there are only so many designs that you can come up with if you want to go really, really, really fast. It's only natural that the designes are somewhat like the X2010.
Biggest difference, though: Those won't kill their drivers with the lateral G's they can pull.

Also the X2010 doesn't exist, that's important.

It's not functional, but it does indeed exist.

Welcome to last year. This isn't the first Caparo vs. X2010 thread... and probably won't be the last...

Locked.
