All of you "children" talk about how you want more competition in the gaming industry, yet you support the one company who tries the hardest to eliminate all competition. Seriously, get a grip on yourself.
Who said that? I haven't seen anything, and I mean anything, here on GTP that asks for more competition.
Sony has given you everything you praised about the original Xbox, with extras, and you cry about it.
...With a premium price.
You also know little to nothing about society. Our economy and society will push the PS3 to the top of the charts, simply because our upper echelon of the economy is obsessed with the "biggest" and "best". They will buy the PS3, rock stars will buy it, it'll be plastered all over MTV Cribs, actors will own them, and everyone underneath will want one.
Agree with you there.
As for the "twice as much fuN" that's just the objective point of view of a narrow minded fanboy who refuses to enjoy any games of an alternate genre on alternate consoles because he can't save money.
What different genres are there on the PS3? What you're describing by far fits the Wii the most, and that's cheap compared to the competition.
And people would also rather spend their money on other things, too. Money doesn't grow on trees.
Buying a PS3 saves you hundreds in the long run, specifically for it's multi-media purposes. More people are excited about high-def than you think child.
Blu-ray/HD-DVD is overrated. Standard DVD's are great enough. And really, if the PS3 will be the cheapest Blu-ray player around, it's probably the least quality one too. I mean, look at the PS2's DVD functionality. It's usable, and good if it's the only one around, but I find it really clunky to use.
Hi-def movies aren't at the top of people's lists, if they're on it at all. In a few years, once the tech is cheap, people will be much more interested in it, but for now... bleh.
But I do also agree, if you buy a PS3, you'll probably save some money.

That too, shows your ruthless love for the 360, because you basically quoted word-for-word what Peter Moore said, probably without even knowing it.
Well, two proverbs for you. "Copied things are never better than the original", and "You get what you pay for". Once Sony gets really in depth with the online system, we can make our minds up whether the $5 a month for Xbox Live is a rip, or a steal.
