Have I mentioned how mich I love you?

I still laugh every time I hear Kaz Harai talk about how the PS3 is "worth it." And after watching DL.TV's segment on Blu Ray technology, I really don't see the benefit other than saying "Hey look, I've got Blu Ray!!!"

Sony can kiss my ass at the moment, as they really cannot compete with the fact that you could buy a 360 and a Wii for the same price as the top-line PS3 and have twice as much fun.

So true, I agree with everything you said there.

All of you "children" talk about how you want more competition in the gaming industry, yet you support the one company who tries the hardest to eliminate all competition. Seriously, get a grip on yourself.
Who said that? I haven't seen anything, and I mean anything, here on GTP that asks for more competition.

Sony has given you everything you praised about the original Xbox, with extras, and you cry about it.
...With a premium price.

You also know little to nothing about society. Our economy and society will push the PS3 to the top of the charts, simply because our upper echelon of the economy is obsessed with the "biggest" and "best". They will buy the PS3, rock stars will buy it, it'll be plastered all over MTV Cribs, actors will own them, and everyone underneath will want one.
Agree with you there.

As for the "twice as much fuN" that's just the objective point of view of a narrow minded fanboy who refuses to enjoy any games of an alternate genre on alternate consoles because he can't save money.
What different genres are there on the PS3? What you're describing by far fits the Wii the most, and that's cheap compared to the competition.

And people would also rather spend their money on other things, too. Money doesn't grow on trees.
Buying a PS3 saves you hundreds in the long run, specifically for it's multi-media purposes. More people are excited about high-def than you think child.
Blu-ray/HD-DVD is overrated. Standard DVD's are great enough. And really, if the PS3 will be the cheapest Blu-ray player around, it's probably the least quality one too. I mean, look at the PS2's DVD functionality. It's usable, and good if it's the only one around, but I find it really clunky to use.

Hi-def movies aren't at the top of people's lists, if they're on it at all. In a few years, once the tech is cheap, people will be much more interested in it, but for now... bleh.

But I do also agree, if you buy a PS3, you'll probably save some money.

That too, shows your ruthless love for the 360, because you basically quoted word-for-word what Peter Moore said, probably without even knowing it.
Well, two proverbs for you. "Copied things are never better than the original", and "You get what you pay for". Once Sony gets really in depth with the online system, we can make our minds up whether the $5 a month for Xbox Live is a rip, or a steal.

^ Good post!

Ya know, I attempt to be as fair as I possibly can on most days, but there are some where Sony just push it a little too far, and thats when my "switch" goes off and I have to say something negative.

So I own a 360, so what? Doesn't mean I love everything about it... The game selection isn't all that great yet, extras cost too much, and not all my friends have it, but that cetainly doesn't mean I hate it either. I'll admit that I bought it for PGR3, Forza 2, Gears of War, Halo 3, Lost Planet, Bioshock, etc and they are all (except PGR3) a long way down the road... But don't think for one minute you are any better than me with your PS3 that doesn't even exist yet.

Now if we all act like adults and respect eachothers opinions instead of resorting to childish insults and namecalling, we might get somewhere. I'm completely happy to debate with anyone the different ways in which we could view certain points of the different consoles, as that is what most people do.

...We also need to keep in mind that we are "above" most average gamers (in the way that we care more about each system and the games we play), and our opinions may be far to the left or right of where the mainstream sits. Instead of looking at everything like a technology hound, think of the kid who doesn't own an HDTV with a Dolby Digital 5.1 surround system. Try not to think like a die-hard Ninja Gaiden fan and think like the kid who would rather play something a bit easier like Katamari or Super Smash Brothers.

Opinions count, and opinions that oppose them are great as well. I don't care if you disagree with me, as that is how life works, but you could atleast respect my opinion as I have with you.
