Xbox 360 With Internet

The xbox 360 cannot browse on the net, but goes to internet. You can download demos, trailer, add up for your profile & new gamer pics. The gamer tag show you acheivement(Where you're at in your games), the friendlist(last time they've logged & the game they're playing right now). There's also the private chatroom(more than one person) that work even if your playing offline. There also your message that can be receive in word or voice(15 second). Playing in multiplayer against the world. I think that's about it about XBOX LIVE.

Anyway, if you're not looking for that, just don't get xbox live. :sly:

I want to have the xbox live in my xbox 360 but I don`t know how to connect my console to the wireless internet, I want to play online PGR3, help me.

You'll need to buy one of these for the 360. It's pretty simple after that I think, it configures alot of the details for you. I'm not too sure on the deeper details myself as my Dad set it all up for me. I'm sure if you go to an Xbox or Microsoft website it will have the instructions somewhere. 👍

Ok, I will buy that Wireless Adaptor, thanks, I will try to install it and play online PGR3. But talk me more about xbox live, please tell me how can I have it?

If you want to play online, you will need to buy the Xbox Live Gold membership (you can buy smaller memberships if you want, 3 months, 6 months, etc).

All consoles have a Silver member ship as standard that allows you to download demos, trailers and stuff, but it won't let you play online with other people. When you buy it, inside there is a a code you enter into the 360 that activates your Gold account.

When you first get your Xbox hooked up to your wireless network though, you have 1 months free Gold membership that you have to select. Use that before you buy the membership. 👍

Ok, thank you very much for that explanation, is really useful, so I will do that.

i need some help. I have the BT Home Hub and got a 360 for Xmas (today :D). Anyway, I don't have a Wireless Adaptor, but I have the Ethernet cable you get in the box. I was wondering, how do you connect to Xbox Live using the Home Hub wireless connection, but with the network cable which comes in the box?

Sounds like you're probably just going to have to run the ethernet cable from the 360 to your router. I might not be understanding your question right, though.

As long as you have a "standard" ethernet cable, you should be fine with connecting your 360 to the internets. Certainly it is a series of tubes no doubt, and it is far better to use a wired setup, as the wireless version doesn't have enough bandwidth to be worth a damn.

...I'm running a 50ft "Geek Squad" cable I bought at Best Buy a few years back on the 360, and it works just fine. The only problem is that when there are connection issues, I have to run back and fourth between my computer and the 360 (I live in a split-level Townhouse, so it isn't fun...).

I couldn't play without lag. Have you tried Halo 2?
Not making you seem like a noob here, but are you sure the adaptor was close enough to your router to maximize your connection? Or maybe you had a naff adaptor...
