Ok. I've got an XBOX Debug kit. I promise I didn't do anything illegal or unethical to get it. And if it is illegal, microsoft can reach me at S31Ender@gmail.com

To the point. What is it? What can I do with it and pretty much any info about it I can get would be nice.

Another side note....I've got a gamecube debug kit as well. Same questions.

I'm pretty dumb as to what they are and can do so mayne I should ask the guys who would know. Who would they be?

Thanks for any info.

What is this de-bug kit you speak of, and is it 3rd party or did u get it off the street or what? What does it do, and why do you have one for the Gamecube as well? I've never even heard of one. Any takers?

No, I didn't buy it. A guy I know has his company and they are involved with the game world. But he's more in marketing than development. They were bought so he could play the product before it was finished so he actually knows what he's talking about. Only problem is, he's a backseat owner. He lets everyone else work and he goes on vacation. So he never uses them. Thus he figured I might be able to use them. I just don't know how what and all that jazz. Figured someone online might know.

And that's relevant to us understanding....how? We want to know where you got it, WHY you got it especially, and what you expect to do with it. How is it supposed to de-bug anything? In order to de-bug a console ame you're going to have to re-write the disc and completely revise the scripting, otherwise you're just gamesharking and messing around with it. What is the game debugger? Is it a disc? a piece of hardware, software, something with a physical weight size shape etc. ? We need details.

um......why don't you read the first post before becoming such a jerk pal. I was asking YOU guys what the hell it was because I DON"T KNOW.

A debug version of a console is basicly just a Microsoft/Nintendo/Sony modded console, you can run backups, games from other regions and I think you can hock it up to a computer and with special software (part of the Devkit) get debug output from the console if you have a game that generates debug output. I dont know exacly the terms for debug kits, I guess thay are not as strict as for the dev kits, but a guess would be that thay restrict you from giving them away or selling them.

wait.....it will play games from other regions? Finished one's????
I hope so! I'd love to play some Japanese games but I never wanted to put the extra few hundred bucks into buying a new system
