I think that anyone in there right mind will agree. M$ does not have **** in GT4. They are so ****ing screwed. They might as well just not invest in racing titles anymore. I almost want to cry because of how excited I am for GT4. NURBURGRING! My dream course! Will it have hazards I wonder!? Cars that I have only dreamed of! Courses so close to life, that race car drivers make laps within 1% of real life! Amazing! The best motoring game ever! And I have not even played it!

I say if your an X-Box fan reamina fan and get Forza motorsport, but in the meantime get a PS2 if you don't already and make sure you buy GT4 because it will be the best raciong game ever.

What a retard

I could say the same about the PS2 and first person shooters, halo 2, doom3....but I don't because I'm not a stupid fanboy.

georgeymoney, I advise you pull your head out of your arse, and realise that there are other games that quite possibly could top GT4, try GTR for size :P

I thank you.

I almost want to cry because of how excited I am for GT4.

pathetic, I swear, I'm sick off these fanboy rants, why can't they just enjoy the game thats an exclusive to their machine, and not feel the need to blab on about "owning" other machines. So stupid.

Very true, ut code-kev why are you bashing that statment, all the person said was how excited they were, how are they a fanboy from saying that. Oh well I only have a PS2 but you don't see me running around sayign Xbox sucks or whatever cuz clearly I could care less because I am very very happy with my PS2, GT4 will be amazing but personally don't know if it will own all or not seeing how I dont play many more raceing games...

rport, are you blind?

M$ does not have **** in GT4. They are so ****ing screwed. They might as well just not invest in racing titles anymore.

What a stupid thing to say though, it is PURE fanboyism. Like me saying the ps2 is screwed because the GC has the best platformers :P
I mean just look at the title of the topic!!! "xbox", so bloody stupid.

HAHA WTF?

come to gamespot's system wars forum and take it on poor lemmings there if its really itching inside u... it just happens that there are lotsa GT4 vs Forza threads now...

PS: don't be offended if u'll be called cow for some reasons

Edit: cobragt is there too putting up his usual :p

I fail to see with all the great games on all 3 systems, how anyone can say the other console sucks

Notice how if the person owns a ps2 only, they usually hate the xbox...weird that :P

btw I found the xbox pad to be superb for racing games and fps, but i prefer the ps2 one for beat em ups. When I say xbox pad I ofc mean the S pad, not the abomination that are the old first pads.

I like the big controllers. The s controllers hurt both me and my friends hands after only about 5 minutes. Thats why we stick with the good big controllers.

I love both the xbox and PS2.

The Xbox is definitely unarguably the superior machine because of its architecture.....

..... but a game isn't great purely on graphics alone and that is why the PS2 is still a great machine because many great games are still made for it.

I even love the original Gran Turismo and still play it from time to time. Given the choice between the original PS1 gran turismo and 90% of the drivel on the market, the original will still excel in gameplay, even it if is on an ancient machine with a 33mhz chip!

GT4 will never have the graphics of Project Gotham Racing or Codemasters Race Driver 2, but it will beat them both in the gameplay and sheer depth dept and will last longer than either title.

Slightly off the track here, but amusingly my OH once got the hump with me playing GT3 so much that she through my PS2 down the stairs.

The PS2 didn't survive its journey, but the very next day I bought a new PS2 and my main concern was whether my memory card's GT3 save was okay - that bothered me far more than buying the new machine.....lol

Now I keep a back up!:D

I remember reading back during the release of the original Gran Turismo series that in Japan people were so fanatical about it that some people even used it as the reason for divorce in their divorce papers!!!!!!

Hasn't caused me to split with my partner, but GT4 may just tip her over the edge......ROFL:lol:

My girlfriend referred to GT4 as the "Widowmaker" last night. :D

I really liked PS2 pads, but Xbox pad is better for racing games imo.

Instead of getting a saw finger holding down the X button, u can just use the triggers which are nicely analogue & far better than using the PS2 analogue sticks too.

Apart from 'button sores' :p the comfort is probs similar for both, depending on person.

(I'm thinking of XBox S pads here)

 Everyone know's you are a double agent code.

All I can say is I dont wanna read another thread about the specs of the PS2 and XBOX lol, but Kev the question is are you blind? because I was talking about the quote you stuck in your post, NOT the whole thing... Please re-read what I said and you'd understand, but its all good I knew what you meant though... Heck I only have a PS2 (and how the McDonalds commercial goes) "Im lovin it" :D

I for one have 2 PS2s and now since recently one Xbox. The Xbox has some decent online racers (I'd say PGR2 is even a great online racer, though the lack of open road tracks is holding it back a little), and the support of the headset is very good too - but on the whole I like the experience, not love the experience. For that, I need the support of a good Force Feedback wheel, and it looks like that's not going to happen for a good while. :(

That seems like a really stupid decision that, it's pretty surprising. I never use a wheel anymore but having a good FF wheel with which to play racing games it important to a lot of people. Microsoft have done so well marketing the Xbox, Xbox Live and so many other products in their history, it seems almost inconceivable they would miss the boat on something so simple and yet so crucial...

I have BOTH systems...and like both. Forza may in fact be better than GT4, but I personally doubt it. I think that Microsoft just wants in on the GT marketshare.

I mean how many times have we heard "this will be a GT killer" only it turns out to be VERY subpar like Sega GT or APEX(lol). Even if it is, that doesn't mean I'd stop playing GT (doubtfully). I've been playing Gran Turismo since 2 (yeah, I actually never played the original) and I don't plan on stopping.

The thing about GT is...it's one of the few current series of games that I like, so I wouldn't really want to give it up. It may be blind fanboyism, but I'm entitled. The difference is, I won't go around saying "XBOX SUCKS" everyone is entitled to their opinion, just don't go throwing it out as fact.

Oh and as for GTR, which was mentioned earlier in this thread...it may be a better simulation, but that's it. The thing about Gran Turismo is, it has a LOT of different kind of cars. GTR only has GT cars. I'm not saying in any way will it be a bad game, but it's much different, and I may buy both.

Indeed. In my lastest GMR mag it says that Enthusia is going to be a Gran Turismo killer. :odd: I highly doubt that.

I bought my PS2 for the Granturismo Series, being able to play other games is just a bonus for me.

I also have Colin Mcrae Rally 3/4, WRC 1/3 as well.
