And CMR4 is only for X-Box.

i have Colin mcrae rally 04 sitting infront of me right now for PC and yes it is out (it is in AUS anyway)

Wtf? Where have you been? WRC3 and Colin McRae Rally '04 have been out for ages now, even here in the ass end of the world.

I wasn't talking to you, Eagle was saying it's been out for ages and I said not for the PC, you can't even stick up for people here sometimes.

Have both for the PS2, living in the UK does have some advantages.

Such as generally getting rally games first, and getting GT4 Prologue (only 13 more days to wait).

Right, one second.

I was referring the PS2 version, as was Bill 182 AND Darin, who believes it doesn't exist. The PC didn't come into it anywhere.

Rally is really big here in Europe, and the PS2 version of CMR4 was released here a good while ago. It's very good, actually, and since it supports a decent wheel with Force Feedback it has been the preferred version even for people who own both PS2 and Xbox.

The PC version is pretty decent too, although it's not nearly as fluent as the PS2 version for some reason and some of the graphical effects are not present. I wrote a long review on it a few months ago.

If I lived in the US and had a PS2, I would definitely get a flip-top or something else that allowed me to play imports, because you guys seem to be occasionally missing out on some great racing (GT4 Prologue has the best rallying in any game currently in existence!).

Then again the reverse also happens - we got the first Race Driver game for the PS2 and it was very bad, slow framerates and everything, but the US version that came out half a year later was a lot smoother and better.

ive got CMR1,2.3 and 4 on PC and i must say i wasnt to impressed with CMR04, to me i isnt much improvements over CMR3

There definetly is much improvement. The controls are much better, graphically it's a step up.

CM4? FLUSHHHHH!!!!!

Rallisport 2 and richard burns? Yes please.

If I was to buy a console version of cm4 I'd get the xbox one, as I don't own, nor plan on ever buying a wheel, so may as well go for the more polished version. TBH I find wheels too expensive :(

First off all IMHO ther are only a few masters in craftmanship to make a game that pushes anything that isn't seen before. Second it depends how you code it. Because multplatform has many disadvantages because every platforms has strong feautures en weaks feautures. The developer has to make choices and it isn't always in the best interest for the game.

GT4 is a work of perfection, passion for cars, it is truly a labour of love. Perhaps most important, GT doesn't follow a trend. GT creates the trend and the rest is following and hoping to improve on it. What no one has been able to do so far.

Okay I guess you were replying to Darin then but the post right before yours where you said "Wtf? Where have you been? WRC3 and Colin McRae Rally '04 have been out for ages now, even here in the ass end of the world." was ViperGTSR01's comment "i have Colin mcrae rally 04 sitting infront of me right now for PC and yes it is out (it is in AUS anyway)" so I thought thats what you were replying to and thats where the PC version came into it.

I 'm just saying PD goes his own way and expanding on every incarnation instead foolowing some one elses way that's it.;)

When I clicked reply, ViperGTSR01 hadn't posted, so I was just replying to Darin, who since he was replying to someone who'd mentioned the games on PS2, I assumed was referring to the PS2 versions.

It got a little confusing anyway sorry aobut that and letys get back to GT4.

Then we should close the Xbox thread and leave the Forza discussion in the Forza thread, because so far that's the only game that will come close to GT4 on the Xbox.

I apologize for that.
I was really hyped up for GT4 and very very tired.
The XBox is actually a wonderfull console. I enjoy it. To repent for my gaming sins, the only thing I can do is beat the **** out of RSC2. I love that game. It is the best rally game I have ever played. Pace notes are garbage though. Even in advanced. Drives very unrealistically, but fun any way. Ah, how I love those hillclimb cars.
Most of my **** talking was in light of Project Gothem Racing 2. That game needs some serious re-working. I have never seen such a poor frame rate on an XBox. Please do not bunch me in with fanboys.
I find a great deal of joy in playing Xbox. And I will admit, the dreamcast errrrr, Xbox controllers are great for racing titles, but so is my Driving Force Pro.
I would love to see M$ throw money at car titles. The more good games the merrier.
But admit it, GT4 is going to blow the Xbox titles out of the water.
By the way, where did I mention the Playstation? I would not mind it if GT4 was ported (which it never will be). I would buy it for XBox as well!

Your forgiven lol

Gt4 will own all...expect halo 2, those 2 share first place imo :)

*really is a sad halo fanboy*

pgr2s frame rate is pretty good, until you play a 60 fps game then go back to it :(
