XBOX360 : Currently running at 1/3 of its power ? No... on APPLE !!!

Has the current Xbox360 really only 1/3 of the final power, 1/2 a year before lauch ?

Thank you for telling me what I've known for years.

Tried and tested does have it's advantages though, and the ideas are similar using multi-threading etc, just different ways of doing it.

Bigger and faster etc STILL sums up every console company though.

G4TV is full of idiots. Period.

Vision GT was the GT4 engine running higher resolution textures and two to three times the car models on screen with many spectators. It was not the "next generation" of GT, nor was it even a GT project.

At first I thought something similar, however, I have RESEARCHED, it's how you learn. And it wasn't hard to find out this was only a technical demo to show what to expect in the next GT, not for visuals, not for anything, just a "vision" of gran turismo, having multiple cars on screen and an immersive environment.

If this is what is expected of the next GT then I am sorry to say bring on forza 2. If it is a tech demo, not for visuals then way call it VISION OF GRAN TURISMO? What is technical of that demo, Nothing!! I thought it was GT for PSP from ten feet from my LSD. :grumpy:

I can take a fork, add three more teeth, and it's custom designed, but by no means would that make it "innovative"...the processor in the 360 is just that.

Numbers can be skewed to make something look better, people can type things and throw around lingo to confuse you, but I know, for a FACT that both IGN and majornelson the jerkoff, are SKEWING NUMBERS.

sigh, it's tough dealing with simple poeple....

Okay. This video, Vision Gran Turismo, has NOTHING to do with GT5.

What it is, is a "vision" of some basics to expect. Kaz wanted to show off that with new hardware, they will be able to render many more cars on track, and large amounts of spectators on screen. We'll also see damage etc.

I will be one, willing to bet, that GT5 will look good, but it won't focus all of the power of PS3 strictly on the cars and tracks. I believe they will see improvement, but most of the power will HOPEFULLY be spent on damage etc. We'll see how things turn out.

So, to wrap it up, this is not GT5, has nothing to do with any gran turismo, it is simple a display of what direction KY wants to head. I hope you understand. THank you.

I post some information, and comment on hardware, then you insult my intelligence? What am I seriously supposed to do? Shake your hand and walk away? Hell no.


Being in the Military I'll be the first to admit that yes, I do have a sense of Pride much greater than a lot of you probably do, but don't mistake that for an EGO, because I am, in fact, down to earth and can be cool with everyone.

But when my intelligence is insulted, I will speak up, that's just me. You have no clue about ME, yet you comment on my knowledge based on what? The fact that I use real world applications and lamens terms intead of posting up numbers that no one will understand anyway? Give me a break.

If I got out of line, it was out of spite, and I will never let someone make me out to be less than what I am, that's just me.

And as far as calling people children, I was speaking directly to those who were challenging me and arguing with me just for the sake of arguement, nothing more, nothing less. If I say something that you do not agree with, fine, say you disagree, and state why, I'm sure to read it and take it a lot better than someone to say I would be "humbled" and I "haven't convinced anyone I know what I'm talking about".

PS3 there running 2 6800ultra's but only 256mb each :guilty: sony cant afford to compete with micro they dont have enough money

You don't even understand what you are reading or seeing.

The Xbox360 only has 512MB of memory, just like the PS3, the difference is X360 has 512 shared among the whole system, while PS3 has 256 dedicated purley to video, and the other 256 is shared among the entire system.

god i love how the most ridiculous answer is winning...

yes and no to the one third power issue, if any of you 'knew' how the 360 worked then yes you would know its tons more powerfull than a outdated G5 in fact for gaming a fx55 would have been a better alphakit, but the fx55 is not a dual core nor a triple core! just to show how much power is behind it, DOA4 burned 4 aplha kits making the e3 trailer...4 ALPHA KITS UP IN SMOKE, that is how much they are pushing the alpha kits, and doa4 had effects TURNED OFF so it would run!

video cards is what makes or breaks a console *cough* ps2 *cough*, and considering the ati's card is alot more powerfull than the ps3's we will once more see a ps2 vs xbox war...

in fact just to let you guys remember, the ps2 was 6x MORE POWERFULL than the Box, did it have better Graphics? hell no!

the cell is new and so is the xenon, anyone thinks other wise is utterly moronic, and in terms of gaming apps, the xenon looks to have the advantage (glops means jack)
