I also noticed the 330 P4 doesn't have a top too. And how about the Mark IV?

I don't also consider them as convertibles because they simply have no roof at all.

i think the mark 4 has a top, and think the 2D has one too

No really, its a race car from the 60's... The Mark IV and 2D have tops

Ferrari 330 P4 came with a roof and without. I believe the one in GT5 is the 'barchetta' version. XJ13 I don't think ever had a roof. MKIV,GT40 and 2D have roofs.
Recon mentioned the Cobra. The Premium version is the Shelby Cobra which has Left Hand drive (it's American) and only appears with it's roof down, but it's a convertable. The AC Cobra (right hand drive british version) is Standard and has it's roof perminantley up.

Remember drivers used to run to their cars in LeMans. An open cockpit is a lot quicker to get into than a closed one.
