Xj220 ucd

so this car is in the ucd at the moment for 400k, I was just wondering if it's worth buying.. fast? good handling? fun to drive? decent sound?

I have bought it. I liked how it looks. I had waited & waited to see it in the UCD. And then I tried it... and I find it difficult to drive, but I'm not very good. And I didn't really try any tune set-ups or whatnot. But it's fun... don't worry about that! It's just not an easy drive... And I don't know what in particular it would be "useful" for, if you're wondering about that.

Umm...Don't events refresh the UCD? Borrowing a car isn't an event. Can someone please clarify this?

But it looks good and drives well, good acceleration and decent handling.

I have one, it's horrible to drive but I don't know if the chassis just needs refreshing. It feels... bendy!

I have it (as I am collecting Jaguars, just one more to go!) and tuned it to about 650 PP, then used it in the Supercar Seasonal as it seems a good fit. With careful driving, it was able to win them all. As far as suspension tuning goes, all I did was lower it to almost the lowest (I no longer use the lowest setting on any with the adjustable suspension), roll bars at 6/6 and dampers pumped up to about 80% (can't remember the number right now). Used Sport Soft tires. Tends to understeer a bit but not too bad. I like it but its not the best of the Jags.

Its rubbish, gets wasted by 458's in PP races on la sarthe where you'd think it would excel, did engine and body refresh too.

I have two XJ 220's, both tuned with soft racing tires. Easy to drive, easy to win extreme euro. championship. Race for more credits and get a McLaren F1 (1Mil. from NCD) now that's a car that's FUN to drive.

The xj220 is a good street car. Good grip, lacks in acceleration. The LM version is very nice, good handling/cornering, just slowish. Still, there are better cars in the game.

I refreshed the chassis & it still kind of feels... I guess "bendy" is as good a word as any. But maybe if it's tuned better... I don't know.

If the only basis someone uses to measure a car's "worth"... whether it can compete with other similar cars at the same pp or hp/weight... then no, it's not good for that.

it sounds amazing at low revs, meh its okay.. i was expecting it to be around 900 - 1000hp fully tuned, but its only around 700hp. its worth having if your collecting, because you dont see many around 👍

My overhauled XJ220 goes 310 km/h on SSR7...this car is said to easily top 320.

If you borrow it, you need to drive it somewhere. Even if you drive on a practice track, it is considered an event.

Yeh I have this problem too, even fully modified this car struggles to reach it's stated top speed of 220MPH on SSR7, disappointment for me :/

I bought it in BRG color when it came up in the UCD. Mostly because there was a Top Gear UK episode where it smoked another supercar that I would have assumed would have beaten it.

Haven't tried it yet though.
