good choice,
heres my rant against them

DON'T waste your money on X-Mods, they are the cheapest pieces of 🤬 i have ever used (sorry about that).....everyone i have ever seen with them had it come defective out of the box.
My white Supra could not steer (ive added the 4wd kit, suspension upgrade, and other stuff, so now it turns right, no left). My other friend bought a red Supra, that came with a cracked reciever crystal and other electronic problems. He then bought a yellow Skyline and it still had electrical problems. My brother bought a black Civic and its motor did not work, we bought the motor upgrade and it still didn't work. My 2nd friend had it the worst: (and note he bought it new, factory seal still on) a silver RSX, it had screws and parts missing, it had a cracked crystal, electronic problems, and broken parts. He went to return it and Radioshack didn't take it because it was missing parts (that didn't come with the car in the first place).

spend an extra $50 (about $100) to get a Kyosho Mini-Z, they are awesome and beat even the most modded X-mods straight out of the box. Plus they are tough to break

Yes he is right they all do come out of the box defective i bought a 350 Z and as soon as i took it out of the box it only steered in one direction the Xmod's are ****!.

I've had no problems with mine, and my Father-in-law, and two sons have had no probs with theirs.
I started with a 350Z, but I got the SVT Mustang body kit for it.
As for the steering, it does take some adjustment of the trim control on the remote.
But I drive mine in the house mostly. We have copius amounts of wooden floors, and we do a lot of drifting in the dining room.

You are right i went and dusted of my 350z and played with the trim some more looked on lots of other forms and now she drives like a bute! I just went out and bought stage two motors and a set of drift tiers i was gunna get some suspention for it and a 4X4 kit but they are so outa date that all i could get was some drift tiers.... :grumpy: So now im investing in an H2 evoloution and putting a lift kit so i can rock crwall... WOOT!

Overpriced 1:28th scale radio controlled cars. I bought a white supra which had a defective motor, the thing barely had enough power to pull itself along? After I bought a whole bunch of upgrades including the so called stage two motors, metal wheel bearings, 4WD etc it turned out a motor I pulled out of one of my old scalextric cars was ten times faster than the rubbish they sell you. It wasn't a straight swap as it involved a little bit of soldering but for what I paid for the car and upgrades, (around £200) I can go to my local RC shop and buy a half decent petrol engined car and rip up some of the lawn in my garden, much more fun. IMO.

Well for what it is worth here are some pics of mine.. And yes i know there is a huge chunk out of the front bottum bumber i hit a bump and my bumper was to low so the body floo off the car.. Anyways here is my RSX and Lancer..

I just got an Xmod today. The local Radio Shackis going out of business, so I got myself a bone stock '67 Pontiac Firebird for only $30, instead of the regular $60. I had no problems whatsoever (thee exeption that some of the parts were difficult to assemble with the tiny screws/screwdriver. But I managed to put it together eventually.

I must say, it's a fun little RC car. Nicely detailed, and fast, to boot. Don't think I'll tune it too much (don't have anyone to race anyway). Just some working headlights, and new tires. My house is mostly carpet, and those slicks can't always find traction.

I have a:
First Gen NSX with bearings and Stage 2 motor.
Evo Gen G35 with a body kit, new rims, 4WD and some odds and ends like gears and leftover springs.

I now have 13 complete cars and two bodys.
Thwe two bodys are a blue F150 and a red SVT Mustang.
the rest are a 67 firebird ,65 mustang,06 mustang, evo VIII, impreza wrx sti, black civic, 69 camaro, nsx, r34 with coustom paint (still not finished yet), 350z, g35, h2, and a yellow f150.

I've got body kits for all of them and some other mods also.

I think they are darn fun little cars if ya ask me!
