I'm wondering if anyone has figured out the XP/credit payout for the remote races? i.e. how much each race gives depending on what place your driver finishes, and if the number of drivers participating in a race changes the payout values.

Update - I just ran a test race (trial mountain/20 laps), and thought it would be a simple case of running each race once and dumping all the values in a spreadsheet, but the results don't seem to be a straightforward payout in terms of driver placing:

Not sure how the game does it, but I'm assuming it's a more complex formula involving the driver's starting position and final placing. Maybe it even takes into account the B-Spec level and car driven. One thing I take away from this is that you don't have to come in first to get the highest payout i.e. on the above race, the 5th-placed drive got the highest payout, followed by the 7th place (last) driver.

Great post tezster, I have set up a thread specifically for testing with conditions in place for some uniform data to come through. How did you find out the XP/Credit award for all Bobs in that race? Head over tot he thread and see what u think. With enough samples of data, we may be able to see a pattern forming, and work from there

Bringing this post over from the prize lights thread.

There definitely seems to be either a random winning amount happening? I also seem to suspect that the lights may be a modifier to your totals? If not, then something is affecting how much cash you win because it is not consistent.

I had thought that it may have something to do with the average of the bobs selected for a race? So, if you chose all level 30 bobs, it would be a level 30 race and as such the payouts would be higher than if it happened to be all level 1 bobs and just your level 30? Since it seems PD would want to prevent people from having "unfair advantages" you know?

It may also have to do with the level of your bob to the average level of the competitors? So, if your bob is level 3 and miraculously wins against an all level 30 group, the payout is rather significant.

Just theories really...

The prize lights do seem to just be indicators of money tho... but my other thoughts on the payout system may have merit?

i kinda wonder if it's something like set amounts for first place, second etc, then bonuses such as x amount for each car you pass, x amount for each place you finish higher than what you started, or something like that?

I'm not sure, but my guess is the total winnings are a combination of set amounts for:
o Finishing position
o Per overtake
o Fastest lap (this gets highlighted in the report so must be a bonus for this maybe)

I'm sure someone will eventually work it out but payouts seem so random it's hard to figure out.

i were thinking it may have something to do with the performance points of the car... but haven't done any remote's yet, jus can't find the time. lol

I think the XP variies also with the level of the driver. A higher one gets less than a lower one, I think I had seen when collecting the money.

Could it be set against the car as well or the car's PP value? i.e. the Vanquish is not the best out of that field and get's the second highest?

Just from looking at that table, it seems clear to me it's based on the car you use and how you place.

If you win in the best car, you get a worse payout than finishing second in the worst car.

Somewhere in the middle lies the actual 'maths' but to be honest, the payouts at this level are so insignificant, its more about running the most races you possibly can, regardless of finishing position!
