I say both, but more recently I've been saying "ya'all" more often than not. Depends on my mood and who I am around I suppose. Good times...

How do you say it? being from Georgia I say "y'all", seems easier than saying you all. But now that I live in Maine all I hear is "you all". From time to time when I'm talking in class I'll get the occasional giggle because I say "y'all".

So how do y'all say it.:sly:

I saw the title and knew it had to be you that made it

I'm from NH so i would say you guys

An interesting topic, and I would like to point out that it depends on which situation I am in, If I am chatting with my mates, i tend to speak colloquially as in 'you lot' if I am speaking formally, it tends to be 'all of you'. I will never stoop as low as reffering to multiple people as 'you's', as I hear a few people say to me 'How you's all getting there', it just sounds wrong in the same way 'y'all' sounds wrong, at least to me that is, but i can respect that peoples accents greatly affect how people phrase things, so i am glad people from different areas speak differently othrewise it would be boring.

'You lot' is what I use most commonly.

Dutch? The Afrikaans is quite close: "Julle almal", though that doesn't actually sound correct to me for some reason. Generally I think they'd stick to "julle".
Yep, Dutch. Afrikaans is a kind off "old" Dutch.

I say "y'all" when the inner hick in me starts coming out. I also say "nuttin" instead of "nothing" which can get awkward when someone I don't really know asks me what i'm doing.

Win yer in Texis ya do lack the Texins do. Now y'all come back nah ya hear?

I was born in Georgia, so I used to say y'all. Now it's just you.

I guess I'm no longer a hick.

Even Driveshaft knows better:

As my father was from North Carolina, and the child of farmin' folk, and my mother is from Philly, and I was raised in California, I say Y'all sometimes, but usually it's "dudes".

What a contrast. Ever said the wrong one at the wrong time and gotten funny looks?

Cool thing about "Y'all" is that while it sounds like it ought to be plural, it's perfectly "acceptable" to use it in singular form.

Upon seeing a new cast on your friend's leg: "How'd y'all do that?" (or Perhaps: "How y'all did that?")

Upon seeing your friend emerge from a new ride: "Y'all hit the Lotto, or what?"

I'll just say... uhh... "hey guys!" Or.... maybe "Morons! Pay attention!" :dopey: Only the latter when I'm with friends though.
