In a few days, I shall have the chance to drive, for the first time.
Now, This isn't your average chance, or your average car.

2005 Pontiac GTO
Silver
Automatic :(

Anyway, to the point. I've already ridden in this car, and it's really, really torque-happy. And I'm rather nervous of making a lead footed mistake, and loosing the rear end (hah, drifters can leave now) into a slide, and ****in up a brand new 35k car. and loosing all respect (and loosing alot of money) by my friends.

I just hope driving a car is just like gokarts, just alot bigger, heavier, and with more buttons.

Any advice on driving such a car, would be nice.

Now, for the next part.
I haven't been here in about a year, and I doubt anyone really cares much that I'm here, so I'm just gonna blend in.

DRIFTZZZZZZZZ! W00T! YEA!

I'm done.

Yea for you? You sound like you've never driven a car before, How old are you?

Your 17 and you haven't drove yet!?

EDIT- Hmph.....How sad.

Hey, you're, like, back.

Driving a car's easy enough. The hardest part isn't learning the pedals, but staying completely observant all the time – Sometimes, you don't want to look over your shoulder when changing lanes, sometimes you won't want to bother looking left-right-left at every stop. But just do it, and make sure you have a good feel for the traffic around you (keep checking your review mirrors often so that you always know the relative positions and speeds of the cars behind and next to you). Good luck! 👍

Yeah, even before you start the engine, position your mirrors so you can see all around the car and make sure you can turn your head to see the blind spots.

Also, you would want to stay at least five seconds behind any car. I know the urge to start tailgating is tempting, especially in a faster car, but the five seconds will give you time to brake if the car ahead suddenly breaks.

A GTO? Lucky bastard. ;)

Yeah, just like a gokart.

Just keep your foot out of it you stupid **** and come to terms that you are going to wreck this car one day, and you will, and all will be much easier on you.

Anyway, I smell bull**** all about the first post.

Welcome back.

My advice - give it hell. These new GTO's are a joke. With an auto it's going to feel like a dog. I've driven a few local friends of mine's GTO's, and they're weak. The quickest - a nitrous'ed black 6 speed - is still gutless. You shouldn't have any problems with it, unless you're a complete jackass - oh, wait, you're MistaX...:p

Just get used to the power before you romp on it. Shouldn't take long. Make sure the front wheels are pointing straight ahead before getting on it as well. In my '03 Cobra(463rwhp/489rwtq) you could punch it in 1st/2nd/3rd and the ass would kick out to either side, but eventually it would straighten out if you just stayed in it, and didn't try correcting it/doing anything stupid. The only time I had a problem was when I gave it too much throttle when busting a U-turn after two *****es threw something at my car. The ass of the car was all over the place, but I eventually got it to straighten out.

Anyways, dumbass, be safe, have fun, and don't kill anyone.

Your car is like a go-kart. Ugly, slow, and handles good. Only difference is your car has a radio, and A/C.:p

Just like your piece of **** Lexus. Your daddy did a good thing by taking that Ford away from you. :p

Boys...
What ever happened to the Supra?
There used to be a Supra, didn't there?
I'll bet it's hard to see out of a new GTO - it sure is hard to look at one...

So my mechanic tells me, "you need a new automatic transmission." So I say to him, "yeah, well, you need a new face." So then I punched him in the face. Now I need two new things - an automatic transmission ... and a mechanic.

My god, that's so funny. Though not to me, I've told it about 30 times by now.

You're bombed out of your tree, M5Power. It was funnier when you told it like:
My conversation with the mechanic went like this:

"Your automatic transmission needs replacing" (Him)
"Your face needs replacing" (Me)

At that point, I punched him. Now I need two new things - an automatic transmission, and a mechanic.

Was it? It's actually funnier on AIM because I can put each part in a seperate AIM, so the final two are "An automatic transmission. / And a mechanic." It's funnier with the full stops, really.
