Aaaaand ten hours later I can finally sit down to finish this up. :ouch:

I have to say I'm very surprised that the guesses were as low as they were. The change weighed in at 37 pounds (16.7kg/2.6 stone/google it) and totaled, after removing the Canadian change, $450.30 meaning deadcell96 ($425.66) and thesrdic ($421.96) have been awarded GTPremium.

Enjoy, gents, and thanks for playing everyone! Remember to have your pets spayed or neut... damn.

Darn it. Bob. Next round, Bob. HigherBob.

EDIT: I just has a medium sized sack of coins I haven't cashed in yet that weighs 8 pounds. So I should be getting around 80 dollars? That means I can buy my own gtpremium soon.

It seems that volumetric measurements didn't work for this one,but I have to say that that's a lot($450.30)
Good Idea for a money box thought, well for US currency.

Also,it seems that I did a massive screw up and measure the coins as US coins instead of UK pounds.

give yourselves a pat on the back.

Wow, the first contest I've ever entered in my entire 15 years of living and I lose. 👎

. . . But anyway, congratulations to the winners. :)

TB
My own guess has been documented and I'm heading off to the bank shortly!

So, what was your documented guess?

I remember TB saying in the Infield that he was 30c off the guess. So either $450 or $450.60 👍

Congrats on the win guys, well done. 👍

Just be carefull of eyestrain within certain threads of the Infield. ;)

Cheers Shaun.

FFUUUUUUUU :grumpy:

TB, do you happen to know the total number of coins that were there?

Can I demand a recount? I still believe my guess could be right. ($66.67 I think)

Nah, forget it. Congratulations to the 3 winners. Yeah I wrote 3. 2 premium winners and Bob for cashing in $450 of scrap metal.

So is there a formula or something to work out the weight of the coin jar into monetary value?

Well that change would easily cover the price of several GTP Premiums....

It would but I assume TB already has something in mind for that money and giving away two premiums is more than generous enough already. I hope the winners enjoy their premium and a big thumbs up to TB for doing this.👍

When I went to the bank, I asked them how long it would take to go through approximately $450 in change, so, yes, 30 cents off. :D

According to an online calculator, it looks like it was around 4300-4400 coins.

And eight Canadian.

Correct - an AutoStart/CompuStar for my wife's vehicle.

Wow, wasn't as far off as I thought it would be. But still that doesn't look like $450. Maybe the coins are just shrunk down so Bob (since it's perfectly legal now) could fit in more money

Congrats deadcell and srdic though. Enjoy that Premium... :D

Now we just need a "And that's all for today folks, Stay tune for next week" snippit to conclude this thread.

TB, do the honours.

According to an online calculator, it looks like it was around 4300-4400 coins.
So, the average value per coin was around 10 cents (on the plus side), and I considered $0.075.

It would have made all the difference.

Yeah, but you missed the bit where you give us a sneak peek in next week's giveaway. :p

Wow, that was much higher than I was expecting!

It doesn't look like anything near that amount. It was almost 6 times as much as my guess

Congrats to the winners :)

Man, I knew there would be a bigger amount of cash in that jar than normally expected, but I went too high :ouch: Well, didn't have any idea about the gallons and nickels, so that was only a brave guess...

Congratulations deadcell96 and thesrdic. :D

Seems like my guess are too low. :guilty: I will get better next time, bye! :)

I just came in for teh lulz with an obvious joke as my answer to the question.

Congratulations to deadcell96 and thesrdic.
