Personally, I understand that people are gonna lie their arses off when posting online, it goes with the medium. But I haven't worked out if Yoda is just being really sarcastic and this is a big joke or whether he's serious. If he's serious, good on 'im for coming clean. 👍
 
I don't know you Yoda, but good job. 👍 I never tell a lie at GTP(unless I'm talking about how I suck at Gran Turismo), but then again, I'm old. If I was a teenager, I might have tried to really impress a member or two.

I joined this forum not long after I was 1 (around the time of my fourteenth birthday), my typing skills in my earlier posts PWN3D this yoda guy.

Good point. Well, I said I don't lie on GTP, but I do withhold some information. For starters, only handful of members here know my real first name. Also, as far as I can remember, only two members know what I do for living(don't get your hopes up, it's a low wage, sucky job :D).

Everyone lies, everyone must admit that. When you are going through a bad time you start to think differently, and feel like you don't really want everyone to know who you are (like me). I remember when I joined GTP last year after the experience I had gone through school and my Nan having Cancer, I was a bit like that. Eventualy it is starting to heal, and people on here are getting to know me a bit more everyday.

Great that you told us though, shows that you are overcoming what you went through. 👍

I think it's a little different on gtplanet. Some members will be more likely to lie in the forum, but if you are like me, you'll be less likely to tell a lie.

I'd go along with "many members do". Like I said, if I was a teenager, I'd most likely try to impress a friend or two. When you are 31, you don't try too hard anymore. Car I have(Nissan Altima 2.5S), gun I have(Remington .22 rifle), TV I have(Panasonic 47" HDTV), my nationality(Japanese), etc. They are so dull, I couldn't make any of those things up, plus they've been proven here by me posting picture of them(my car, rifle & passport at least). I guess I can't really prove the many stories I've told, but I can swear to you, if I was going to make something up, it will be bit more fantastical.
 
I don't feel i need to lie about who i am, or what i have frankly. It only leads to people asking for proof. If you've not said anything that's a lie, you have nothing to worry about :)

:lol: It's couple of years old and is outdated. It doesn't have 720p, and has only composite or component inputs. I guess it's still above average though. ;)

No really, he could. I had doubts that Y_W was even 17 years old. He liked to just drop bombs in my PM box for no good reason. I promised him via PM that a banning was in his future based on his attitude. Anyway, one of the best things about 2005 was seeing "Banned" under his user name.

As for you, Yoda; the 1337-speak and childish responses to posts gave you away, so maybe it's time to start telling the truth. Sure, you're going to get dissed, but just let the negativity roll off your back and start anew.

And the "owned" crap is years past it's expiration date, fellas.

Exactly, I don't have to impress anyone; after all, there's members around here that have nicer cars and nicer homes than I do. Some members probably have more real-life friends and make more money than I do. And many are better than I am at video games and could make a far better website than me. Some members are probably better people and have led more honorable lives than I have.

But they aren't me, now are they? :)

I think the only times I ever lie on the internet and especially on GTP is when it is an obvious joke... like one time I did something on april fools saying ferrari was making an economy car, and of course my infamous 'broken wheel formula' thread :)
