Now about the Driving Force Pro, can the 900-degree turning be disabled so you can better be able to race GT4 rallying, or is it there full-time? Before I talk more about Yosemite, there used to be a game I played called "Top Gear Rally" back on the Nintendo 64. One feature critical for handling the rally courses better is the choice of steering wheel. With the first handling setting, it's similar to a huge, super-sensitive wheel. The rallying is very risky, if not impossible with this handling setting. The third setting makes handling sensitive and livable. So I can imagine if this 900-degree turning can make rallying difficult for some.
Now back to Yosemite. The only Hard rally you should be concerned with is Tsukuba Wet. This track is moderately challenging, but not really at an expert level. I'm not reading from the GT4 Strategy Guide (about time it's out!), just offereing my experience as a GT veteran. I think Polyphony Digital did a great job on El Capitan and Cathedral Rocks. Cathedral Rocks 1 usually gives me trouble, primarily because at one point, you're speedfreaking on dirt, cross a bridge, then you end up getting onto the El Capitan circuit. Here's the thing. The moment you make that right turn onto the circuit, you must be careful not to go full speed on there. Because if you do, you will likely spin out. Heading back onto dirt, be sure to watch your line heading back onto dirt. Combining dirt with tarmac can be quite challenging. In fact, combining any off-road surface with tarmac is very challenging because your Dirt or Snow tires are suited to those conditions. There, you change your mode of racing from off-road to on-road. To me, that's the only real concern other than the southern end of the course.
As a just for fun comment, don't you think the Cathedral Rocks track map looks more like a lady's leg wearing high heels? I guess you can say Cathedral Rocks 1 looks like a lady's leg wearing some sort of high heel pump or boot. Cathedral Rocks 2 looks more like a boot from the lady. I don't think I'd want to meet a lady with legs like Cathedral Rocks' layout, but kind of a weird thought from the king of weird, ME!!!
