You can still send >1m cars between accounts on the same PS3

Has anyone been able to confirm anything about master/sub accounts? I gather a sub account is really just a separate name under a master account, for the sake of allowing someone else to use your account but have separate saves. I have only ever created multiple master accounts.

I have multiple "master accounts" I signed up for them on the PSN site and specifically chose "master account" when creating them, but they are all on one PS3.

Last night, right after the patch I tried to send a 20mil car from one account to another, I got a "you cannot send this car" message. Nothing about daily limits or that I'm currently using it or anything. I had already sent one car earlier before the patch on the same day, but the message simply said I can't send it, and nothing about a limit.

Today I tried again and it worked fine, then I tried to send a second one and I got a "daily limit reached" message.

What you described are what people refer to as sub accounts. Just different PSN accounts on the same PS3. They are all 'master' accounts as you put it. People call them sub because they only exist to feed the main save on your real profile.

What's strange? I'm assuming this is a question? If it is then I will answer my confusion.

Apparently the 1mil block has been lifted. Who know when and for how long. Has it even been lifted, once again who knows. So if it hasn't been lifted then you can trade between your own accounts but only the once per day, and you are limited to 1 mil to send to another machine. If it has been lifted then maybe that's why I was able to send the ticket and maybe that why you were able to send between your accounts.

My question is, is it official that you have no cr limit trading between your own accounts?

I just sent a friend an 88 Jag XJR-9 Race car (4,900,000 value) and it went through.

I have not tried to send another car from one account to another. Based on the 7pm cut off on days, I hope I get to send another from my main account.

I sent between my accounts as soon as the patch was out, that's why I don't think it ever affected accounts on the same PS3 (as that's my experience and evidence although some claim they couldn't do what I could). They definitely lifted the block on PS3 to different PS3 sending sometime this afternoon UK time.

As for one per day per console regardless of how many accounts you have, that's unchanged and is a pain. In my opinion if they were going to temporarily lift the block to allow people to retrieve cars they should have allowed as many sends as you like for a certain small period. As it is, if you want to get back 5 cars you've gifted it will take 5 days - will the lift be open that long?

So you're benefiting from the fact that they've lifted the PS3 to another PS3 block. How long will they leave it open for? Wish they'd just say.

So do I and it has a huge impact with the future of me and the game. If you can still send between account that's all good even if it is only once a day. Maybe there is some light at the end.

Cars worth over 1,000,000 Cr. (including gift car coupons) are now prohibited from being traded to prevent issues during the trading process. When lending and borrowing cars between friends, please use the car loan system.

What is this car loan system??

Go to your garage, from the drop down menu on any car select the option that sets it to online (share with friends?), now when your friends view your profile that car shows up, they can click it and have the option to 'borrow'. You keep the car but they can use it (can't make any changes though and you won't suffer the mileage they use). It was introduced last week in 1.06.

I found it useful for allowing my 2nd account to do the seasonals using my main accounts cars without having to gift them over.

Just semantics. No such thing as 'sub' really, they're all just personal accounts.
You're probably right. Sub accounts may have more to do with which credit cards get used for buying things from the playstation store - think I read something about that when I set up a 2nd primary account a while ago.

I can second this. For what it's worth, I installed the 1.07 patch as soon as it was available on the west coast of North America, found the Chaparall (spelling?) race car in the UCD, bought it and tried to send it to the 2nd primary account on my PS3 - no dice. Message clearly said this car could not be sent (nothing about limits). I then tried the same thing with a ~$250,000 race car from the UCD and it went through no problem. From what I'm reading today though, the >$1 mil trade it might just work if I try it again when my daily limit resets.

I'm starting to wonder if there was some initial difference between the US update and the EU one? I sent a Ferrari 330 (20m) just after the update landed here (3:40am ish). I was up waiting for what I hoped would be a seasonal events refresh so was on 1.07 before most knew it existed. This is just a weird hunch but anyone saying that they couldn't initially send an expensive car between their own accounts but then could later on is from North America. As soon as it launched, some pointed out that their update was 35mb while others had a 47mb one? Again US and EU? Probably wrong but hey.

Sent another after reset (between personal accounts). Get those gifts back to your main account before it's blocked for good!

Can't do another for 24 hours though... and when will they close it all for good? Just tell us PD?!

You should still be able, i have to still try this method. It involes deleting my patch then blocking the patch update via my pc

supersub7

PSN requires the update to access online features such as trading so if you block the update you can't trade or play on line. Believe me I have tried it in the past...

Have you tried it since? I had 1.07 as soon as it was out and I could send a 20m car straight away.

Yeah i got onto one of my secondary account and sent X2010 to my main account and it worked
