When you decide not to buy an "I am The Stig" shirt because that would be short selling your driving skills.

When 110mph doesn't feel fast.. When you look at car and only think of how much potential that particular vehicle/motor combo has and what it could be used for..

When your hard drive recorder only has motorsport saved on it (in my case I only have the latest round of the v8s on it, Bathurst and 24h of Nurburgring as well as some episodes of RPM)

You could say the same for nice cars that set on fire after a collision or something.

I'd feel hella bad myself.

I guess I don't fit in this thread then. The only time I'd be sad of a car got destroyed was if it was a special car that was the last one of it's kind (Jaguar XJ13 for example*) but obviously it's the occupants that really matter above the car.

It was just an example. Very few people would rather save the car than the occupants. If you love cars you belong here.

When you've actually RECORDED the "We Love Cars" Commercial music and play it as part of a Gran Turismo themed mix CD on your commute.

When you can look at it and call out the name of the color of paint.

Hey, that '69 Roadrunner, it's painted B5 Blue. :D

When your first blown piston is removed, polished and mounted on a stand for all to see the huge hole that you managed to melt in it while testing it's limits. OK, it was a bike but same thing right?

When you ride a horse you go "Where is the clutch".

For years when I was a kid my sister would go to a riding stables and I'd go along with the parents while they watched, the owner once asked me if I wanted a ride and I said "What in?"

This made me think, and on my part I want to add that I know the difference between Jerez black and jet black and mineral white and alpine white

You know you love cars when you don't judge a car on other people's views, the kind of people who drive them or pure aesthetics. You love cars when you look at a cars design and function.

When you can drive before the legal age:D....

👍 Driving mom's Mini around the parking lot. Good times. :)

You know you love cars when you find yourself running behind people on the track in P.E. to catch their slipstream. :dopey:

When you can ID a car by the headlights/taillights.
When you can tell the trim level by the wheels.
When you cringe upon hearing the words "Cash for Clunkers".
When you know what's wrong without having to look it up.
When you make your own opinions and ditch the magazines.
When you were in Auto Tech in school rather than sports.

when you can identify a car by the headlights alone at night

You subconsciously taken the racing line when walking.....

Or

you plan overtakes when walking.....

Lmao! I've actually caught myself doing that.

-you walk around making turbo sounds and engine noises

-your at the store and race around with a shopping cart, making engine sounds. Following a race line while your daughter screams faster.

Ah I love going to the store with the munchkin.

I once did this when i saw a 440 six pack challenger. Color was plum crazy.

I do all of these, especially the first. I identify people by their cars, so when I'm in a parking lot I can find somebody else's car faster than they can.

When you ask your girl friend to exit the car and help direct you out of a tight parking spot before departing.

When you treat a fill-up at a gas station like a racing pit stop

When you realize you're making air heel and toe motions under the dinner table.

Used to be but since most cars nowadays have about the same headlights so it's kind of difficult. Nowadays, I tried to identify a car by looking at the LEDs... The headlights are now kind of useful to identify whether it's an Audi or a BMW only.

I see your heel toe imaginary shifts, and raise you making power shifting motions while watching videos of either you driving your own car ,or someone else driving a stick shift drag car, while sitting in front of the computer. Hand motions included.

When the only recent movie you have had any interest in is Senna (TT3D as well if you also love bikes).
When you realise that you have over 3,000 pictures in your car wallpapers folder.
When you know the exact model of car just by looking at a photo of a small detail of it.
When your friends think you're weird because you only play "boring" racing games.
When you can name every champion of a long running motor racing series off the top of your head.
When you stay up until sunrise to watch a race on TV.
When your DVD collection mainly consists of racing season reviews, documentaries on cars and Top Gear/Clarkson DVD's.
