I started a new game about a month ago, and now I'm done with all the licenses, all the time trials, all of arcade mode, all the endurance races, all the 10-race championships, and some other things. Last night, I had to do the last race of the Ameteur American Champ. 8 times to get the Audi TT, then had to do the Amateur Japanese Champ. 8 times to get the RX-7, then had to do the last race German Touring 5 times to get the Astra. I did the Amateur Dream Car, and all I wanted was either the RX-7 LM or the S2000 LM, but I proceeded to get 3 FTO's (which I already had from Pro Dream Car) and 3 Impreza LM's (which I already had from Grand Valley enduro).

I decided I needed to take a break and go outside, so I went on an 8-mile run. As I ran down the sidewalk, which was a bit uphill, I started noticing similarities to Seattle Circuit everywhere. I could almost hear the GT40. This made me feel like some kind of idiot, so I tried to focus more on a big stone clock tower with some little gargoyles around it. I crossed the street to the right and ran along in front of the tower. Then I was surrounded by some pretty big buildings. The sidwalk widened to the right, and the whole area started to look exactly like the Tokyo R246 pit. This was a little disturbing, so I headed off down a paved bike path into the countryside. The bike path continued along a hill where I could look down into a park with a big lake, and everything seemed normal. I started to notice markers every half mile on the path telling me the distance from the Xenia train station. Every time I passed a mile marker, I couldn't help seeing a sector time flash into my mind. As I left town, I ran through a few sections of trees, sometimes forming a complete canopy over the bike path. Yes, it reminded me of Deep Forest, and I kept wanting to make a hard right and cut into a tunnel, but there were no tunnels. The sun was getting low, so I turned around to come home. As I passed the park again, I decided to run down the hill and do a lap around the lake. I was making a big counter-clockwise loop, and I was starting to feel more normal. I ran past some guys fishing, some people hanging out in a huge gazebo, and some kids playing on a swing set and some slides. Geese were running around everywhere. I thought I was cured. I was making a big sweeping left turn, and I turned right into the sun. The sun was very low. It was just peeking over the hill that I was heading for to get back on the path. It was like a screen-shot of Laguna Seca, and I was headed towards the corkscrew.

I need help!

But first, I'm gonna take a shot at that Pro Vitz race with just a Stage 1 Turbo and some T2's.

No shame in that - I do that too! :D (I'm on my H.S.'s Cross Country team)... I'm always planning out lines while running, and find myself thinking, "Ooh! I hit the apex perfectly!".

Heh.

It's quite a valid tactic in road races - running in Sydney's City to Surf a fortnight ago,it was quite funny to see the field sort into a racing line fairly early

You fall asleep at the wheel or controller and run into a wall and the look at the lap time after waking up in confusion to find that 10 min have gone by and your car is still trying to push the guard rail... :banghead:

 I did that today in the 1500m...I was going around the outside, and cutting through the apex...

Hehehe I did that today. Only it was only 10 seconds. That Super Speedway endurance race always puts me to sleep...

Everytime I see a classic GT3 car in ''real life'' I think of the game like today I was watching a Trans-Am race on TV and I'm thinking ah so thats where the Corvette C5R races, the other day I saw a GT40 in a service station(probably a kit) in Gulf colours it happens every day. Yes it is a bit sad.:O :D

I'm not allowed to go shopping anymore with my woman. She wont let me. I always have to take control of the shopping cart and I always have to race it around the store like a buffoon with my boys. If she tries to take the cart away, I'll just go get a new one.

Yep, GT3 has affected my life as well.

:D

Some of them drift just lovely round the sharp turns although distribution of the grocerys really effects the handling, put a case of beers in the front and they understeer to hell.
Anyone got any tuning and set-up tips for supermarket trolleys:confused:

I work at a grocery store :(
Well anyways, when you set something heavy in the front, just when you push, push sorta down so your not nust pushing straight the back end will lift up(i put 100 pounds of potatoes on the front of a cart and when i pushed down it fell). How about steer with the back of the cart. Oversteer majorly and it should straighten out as you go

I'd go for a slightly front bias. It alows for some great drifting and makes the whole turning process easier.

too much weight in the back and it acts like a FWD where you have to push the front around the corner cause the back is too heavy and slow.

No for the craziest handling you have to go in reverse the whole time, push the either side then lift your legs up onto the cart then feather the ground with your right foot when you're nearing the exiting angle desired, the problem with this driving style is that if the straightaways are very narrow you have to dodge the old ladies earlier on because you need width to utilize the cart's maximum cornering abilities.

Heh heh, I forgot to mention the supermarket cart thing too! Now, I don't go racing (don't want to hit that old lady standing next to the dairy aisle, ya know?), but I do try to see how tight of a turn the cart can make, what the limits of its wheels are, how I can make a turn while making the largest and fastest arch possible... :D

My tip is to really load up the front end of the cart, then it'll handle great when you get up some speed and jump on the back.
:D

If you get a nice empty aisle, you can fly right down it and make slight steering adjustments by slowing down the back wheels with your shoes.

I used to work in a theater, and me and a friend of mine would take trash bins on wheels and race them up and down the aisles and around in front of the screen between shows. If you go into a theater and there's trash all over the floor, maybe this is what the employees were doing instead of cleaning.

ROTFLMAO @ SETTINGS FOR SHOPPING CARTS lmaoooo wowwwww.. this is the funniest thing i've seen in weeks...WOOWWW tears are starting to come from my eyes from laughing so hard...WE ALL Play too much GT3

I want to get a shopping trolley one day, get an old bike from the tip, and put some stuff from the bike on the trolley, pad up all the inside, then ride inside it...:D
