Noone is going to disagree with that Lotus. You are faster than most people on this forum, males or females.

Your fast. :)

Can you guys just clarify for me exactly what you need to get playing online... I have checked with the search thing and couldn't find anything.

Is it just PS2 to network adaptor into the broadband connection? Also what speed broadband is likely to be needed for GT4?

I would like to get ready to play when it comes out,

Thanks,

Paul.

i wouldnt go less then 512k, although shoddy 150k connections MAY work.... as for where i see myself placing in races, its hard to tell with only 5 opponents but l4s my goal is top 3 every race. not always getting it but mostly

PS2's network adapter will accept either a broadband line or a phone line, but I think GT4 will be broadband only.

As for the poll, I should be in the top 5-10% of racers, so I voted I will be the best :sly:. But seriously, I will be able to soundly beat nearly anyone I come across online, as long as the race is on tarmac, and not on dirt (I need to improve my rally skills).

The official PS2 website in Australia states that the minimum download/upload for playing online is 512/128. It may differ in other countries - but I do agree with not going any less than 512k.

I have no idea - as I said in another thread, after I feel comfortable driving with my DFP, I'll try some online play, as long I think I have a chance to win.

I have a 150k conection and play PS2 online with no problems. No lag at all, except when someone is using a web cam on the pc or something. But I´ll try to change it to 300k as soon as I can.

512/download 128 upload? Slow down slow down

300K download 70k upload gives me 50-80 ping when playing online on either PS2/PC

I thnk 512/128 is a little too steep.

My 56k might be a slight disadvantage to me.We live 1km to far away from the closest town to get broadband :grumpy: :yuck: It just makes me wanna pull all my hair out!

Here in NZ 256/128 is reccomended for PS2 online

I've never online raced before so I'm happy GT4 is going to be my first.:)
