Lexus IS200 Sport Cross (Do they call it the IS300 in the game? I can't remember, i'm out of town). It's extremely nimble and quick when fully tuned :) Just the right speed, it won't beat JGTC cars or Le Mans cars, but it's really fun in the Family Cups.

I honestly probably couldn't choose one car that was the BEST in my opinion. right now I can't seem to get out of the Nissan Skyline GT-B (S54A).

I recently spent about an hour messing with different settings, trying to get the best overall feel of the car. I just couldn't get enough! I know it is deffinatley not the BEST car but ive been on this older-car fetish. After I got done messing with the Nissan, I got into my Honda Coupe 9 S and did the same thing.

If I were to pick a BEST all around car, it would have to be the M3. The GTO comes in at a close second but only because the M3 handles better IMO.

For me these are the cars that just do exactly what I want them to, when I want them to do it.

FF: Focus RS - lift off oversteer heaven.
FR: RX7 Spirit R - perfect blend of over/under steer.
MR: Clio V6 - one of the best in the whole game for me although I wish I could put my NSX type-R in there too.
4WD: Prodrive Impreza - mental ride! It pains me to say it but its so much more fun than any of my Evo's.
RACE: Calsonic R32 JGTC - animal!

out of stock cars (no race cars), im in love with the following trio: bmw m3 csl, ruf rgt, and the nsx type r concept

all of them look and handle like a dream

Definitely my choice too!!! And the 350Z LM is an absolute race winner....

Can't wait to win the Zonda LM though...

the orange sixties something dodge charger...not the dodge charge 6pack, the other one...I like it because I made my look exactly like the general lee without the paint job though :( would have been nice

I'm going to have to say the Audi R8 is possibly the best car in the game. Take your Group C beasts if you want, but your tyres won't last as long as mine, and the Audi doesn't try to kill you nearly as often.
350mph+ capability (100% legitimate, I might add - first-hand experience)
The handling is about as neutral as you can possibly get, but if you let off the throttle you can get as much oversteer as you want :)
And what a reputation to back up the performance - this car has won Le Mans four times out of five.

I could go on for a while, but I love it.

I also love the Zonda LM Racecar, which I will be running in the Sarthe 24hr II with a friend, in A-Spec, solidly. So I might not love it so much afterwards!
It's as hard on tyres as the AI in an XJR-9...

I liked the R8, but I LOVE the Toyota Minolta 88-CV, it might be absolute hell to control, but if you know how to drive it and really concentrate nothing thrills quite like it. It grips like it has claws for tires, goes like an ICBM, but it does eat its tires and it tries to kill me... alot. Normal road car though would probably be the Ford GT, but then again I love pretty much all my cars. That Nissan Motul Pitwork 350Z is also most epic.

this is soo hard in quite a few ways, but right now im leaning toward my 330 hp turbocharged amuse s2000 street car. its just so forgiving and FAST 👍 i can turn my best sub 500 hp lap times on the nurb with this guy. ill post a pick in a bit.

Got to agree on the Honda S2000 as a great weapon of choice, although I prefer mine as the used Honda versions, unmodified, except for the odd oil change and maybe a tyre change from S2s to S1s depending on the races.
I've used all 4 of the available used versions, and the links below should go some way to showing you why I like them!

My favorite cars:

Road: NSX-R - handles absolutely amazing
LM: 350Z LM - one of my most favorite out of favorites
LMP: Minolta 88C-V - eats tires but everything is amazing with this car
DTM: CLK-DTM

Honda S2000 '99... highly tuneable and does what i want it to do whether it's showing off or setting fast laps-times... doesn't hurt that it's a fine, fine looking car... 👍

GT4_Rule, the 88C-V is a Group C car... I'm nitpicking a lot on this one, but everyone seems to put Group C and LMP-class cars together under the same title... If you must, you should just put 'Le Mans'. 👍

I agree Sum1s2pid to an extent, the stock road S2000 I have is a joy to drive - it just oversteers, and oversteers, and then grips and you're away :D but it's not a race car at heart, not even the tuner models. But for looking immensely cool going sideways through entire sections, that's my choice

I thought this thread was about your BEST cars, not your favorite........

I would think that most individuals favorite car, is the one they are best with. Just maybe?!?

not a race car at heart, Dark Elite...? can i have some of what you're smoking...?! heheh... not only is the S2000 a very competent road car, but it excells at the track--with some go fast goodies... in the various tuner, Spoon race car, and LM trims, it's a stout little performer... though relatively underpowered in their stock forms, they're a joy to run down cars with more power... love the shriek of its high redline... :dopey:

Let's see my favorite/bets cars are . . .

Road: Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II Nur (R34) 2002
Classic: Ginetta G4 1964
LM: Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II 2004
LMP: Mercedes-Benz AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car 1998

The Amuse GT1 S2000 in black with bronze TE37's... ZOMG... It looks amazing, has amazing handling, and is faster than the speed of sound.

If you're talking about all-around favorites, it would have to be a car which can handle mutiple racing disciplines. Even though I sold it after winning a bunch of races, My all around favorite (believe it or not) was the Mitsubishi 3000GT series. The car's been out of production since 2000, and it's a great Japanese sports car. Its only downside was all the weight with it. Since it was a 4WD car, you get the best of both worlds in one package- the traction of FWD, and the acceleration of RWD. Despite the fact the car was heavy compared to the R34 Skyline (approx. 3400 lbs. compared to the 3000GT's 3769 lbs.), it still was a power machine. It handled a number of my circuit disciplines as well as take on tarmac rally events. I never considered this a rally car, so that's my only rant which keeps it from being a TRUE all-around car.

The Mitsubishi 3000GT. I loved that damn car in real life and in video games. Mitsubishi needs to bring it back unless they want the Raider and latest Eclipse (I'm not knocking the latest Eclipse) to be their moneymakers.

I love nissan skylines they are my favourite cars but my all time best car is
S2000 amuse lovely handling and fantastic grip ;)

My favourite Track is the El capitan because it just seems like a realistic track. Plus i think its a proper size track aswell:tup:

I have to say my favourite car is the Dodge Viper GTSR Concept :sly:

It's very quick tuned/non-tuned and i find it unbelievably stable at high speeds! (especially around nurburgring)

But my 'best' racer would probably be the BMW V12 LMR - even if it tries to kill me at the slightest steering adjustment!:nervous:

I agree with you, the S2000 race car though is amazing, no matter how you look at it, 24 hours and the ring and it lasts if I remember right 6 laps, without being tuned, just with the same tires it came with and it can beat ALL of the cars in that race except maybe the 2D but I never raced that car. The S2000 LM also has to have the most intense and powerful sounding engine and is truly unique in its own right.
