the panda is going to own your behinds! it weighs only 750 kilos out of the box. adding some horses to the 45 that are already in (ok, its not V8 supercar holden or sth.) could make it quite a nice little box!
what was your first car eagle?
 
2004 Mitsubishi Mirage. (For those of you pedantic enough to note that the Mirage was discontinued before 2004, this is a December 2003 model technically, but wasn't purchased till February 2004. So pick an option).
 
*Hopefully* a 1989-1992 R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R. I prefer the five-spoke rims over the ones the V-Spec and V-Spec II models have.

Failing that, then a four door R32 Skyline GTS-4 (automatic) with no rear spoiler. That's just wishfull thinking though. :(
 
Any Volvo, hopefully they'll include some of the earlier ones too

I hope they include the Version-V STi Type-R (2 door) too!! But FYI, the car is not twin turbo, it has the famous EJ20 motor with one IHI turbo. http://www.j-garage.com/4110.htm

Too right its a legend - without it there never would have been any sporting saloons. GranTurismo would have been full of MX5's, Yaris's and Supra's.

I'd like to see the Cortina and all the other Lotus tuned road cars (Carlton, Sunbeam, Lada, etc).

Don't know about that, but the car was discussed in Parlament, because it was said to be to fast to be safe on the public roads. I recall that one MP called for a ban on performance cars when it was launched.

I was 19 when it was launched in 1990 and wanted one more than anything else at the time (including a few girls whose names will remain absent in case my wife ever reads this), a four door saloon that could top 170mph.

Still see good examples on the road today but they are not common and hard to spot unless you know what to look for, the small Lotus badges (and they are small) are the best clue.

if they include the lada you should actually earn CR to drive it, b/c someone would have to pay me to drive that piece o shizzle. :crazy:

@ phantasm: 2000 lbs heavy. 128 HP. Very reasonably priced to make it even faster. Trueno PWNZ!
 
^ i think your list is a little out of whack... realistically only the Trueno and maybe depending on starting credits the Mini would be the only cars you could afford at the start of the game.

You might be able to get an older used version of the impreza, but even the crappy Taurus would probably be out of budget.

I appreciate the attention Scaff, those are some truly beautiful motorvehicles. At this point in time I'd like to reaffirm my call for a sticky thread with regional contact numbers for psychiatric help.

I was under the impression this thread wasn't dedicated to starting cars anyway, just cars you're looking forward to owning.

Personally I'm looking forward to the game launch so all the "What are you looking forward to?" threads turn into "What do you love/hate?" threads instead. At least we'll have some real answers, albeit more *****ing.
