Yeah mate here in Brisbane I've seen numerous Golf GTis, an Evo, F6s and (I know this one aint fast) a Hummer.

In Italy, the Gallardo there is used more for organ transplants/immediate arrival-type than actually chasing down crooks.

Judging from the last picture I saw of it, its doing a lot of neither right now. A couple of Italys finest smashed it up pretty good.

Could give them a run for their money, would have a better chance on twisty back roads.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: MAYBE if I had my summer tires on and found some twisties, I could get away long enough to hide in a driveway or woods or something. So I go back home and stash the car, only to have them bang on my door a few minutes later asking if I owned the vehicle. Even with that, the probability of me getting away is pretty much nil; my car does 0-60 in 9.5 seconds and is electronically limited to 105 MPH.

You can't outrun a Motorola.

That said, my Accord is about evenly matched with a P71 and the police Chargers if they are equipped with the 3.5 v6. I wouldn't stand a chance against the pursuit Chargers with the hemi.

I cant outrun the cops in my country (holland) but i can outrun most cop cars in the USA. They drive audi rs4 Ford mondeo st220 golf r32 etc over here, they might not have much hp but they are pretty light. I drive a Mercedes W202 c36 AMG just bought it 300hp(not much) but it is pretty light. It takes about 5.4 to 60.

IIRC, that was the old 5.0 model they wrecked. They have 2 LP560-4s still active. :)

Edit* Correction, I believe the other car still in service is the other 5.0 they were given, alongside the LP that was donated in 2008.

Or the UAE:

They also have a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor. I guess its for when the perp goes out in the desert. In other words, don't 🤬 with the UAE's police, they'll catch you one way or the other.

EDIT: Damn it all, I can't find a suitable pic.

Interesting. So the 5.0 was repaired and put back into service? I'm assuming the public footed the bill for that, instead of insurance. Looked like a right off to me, but then again, I don't know the structure or design of a Gallardo that well.

In 2004, Lamborghini donated a first generation Gallardo to the police force in Rome. In 2005, they donated another car that was used in Bologna. In 2008, a LP560-4 was donated to the force in Lazio, Italy.

The following year was when the accident happened, and that took place near Cremona, so I'm assuming car #2 was the one wrecked.

Lamborghini has been the one footing the bill for these cars as well. As of 2008, the 1st car achieved 87,000 miles while the 2nd clocked 62,000 miles. Neither car had required major repairs until the 2009 incident which was written off.

Well, my 95 Camaro is sitting somewhere around the 300whp mark and ran a 13.1 last time it ran the track. I think it'd do pretty well.

I'd probably be able to get away from them in the twisties, same goes for the BMW 530d estates. But that's about it.

In my town it's mostly Crown Victorias with a small number of Chargers (including one really mean-looking undercover one that I'm always on the lookout for), but we DO have a PT Cruiser and a Honda Element.

Not much but it's something!

I'd fare well, I suppose. S60R should easily handle all standard fare cruisers and around here there are very few Hemi cruisers. With all the added weight though, I reckon the R would be victorious, given they're pretty even in civilian trim.

SVTF would need the Crown Vics and Impalas. Unless there were twisties, then it'll take all comers.

I'm boned in a cop chase. 0-60 in at least 10 seconds, tops out at 88, brakes aren't the best, doesn't turn very well... But I'll be damned if I don't take someone out during the chase

Haha, I could imagine a chase not going down very well on the road if I still had my Sierra...OFF the road however...then again the 4WD buses they roll round here are GU Patrols, generally regarded as the best off-roaders on the used car market.

Here's the thing.

Can anyone outrun one of these?

If so, please, tell me how you've invented a car that can actually exceed the speed of radio waves, and how the police won't have set up a roadblock.

Besides, isn't this discussion against the AUP?

So it was a write off then? Someone should find the junk yard, steal the engine and build themselves the ultimate sleeper!

Like that one from the video posted a long time ago, with a Ferrari engine I believe. That thing was beast!

It's still AUP friendly. Where just talking about "what-if" scenarios. Nobody has actually done anything illegal.

Oh and, this may be able to outrun a radio, or at least the cop's ability to talk fast enough:

Can you give me a description of the vehicle......its a uhhh........black........and uhhh........gone

that is until you have to turn lmao

Hmmm...
Go kart Vs a cop, interesting.
If I can outrun a mall cop on a scooter I can outrun a Charger & a Crown Victoria.

I guess you've never seen Catch That Kid:

Just make sure your Xbox controller is hooked up properly so you can activate the nitrous on your kart.

Also, really young Kristen Stewart.

I thought I was the only one who watched that clunker.

The Kart chase scene and young Kristen are the only interesting parts of that movie.

"Young Kristen"? I don't even think she has pubes in that movie, plus, I would never say she is the reason for watching any movie.

I wonder if she used lip bites as an acting tool in that movie too?
