If you don't want to game, that looks great... A bit strange that they don't mention what motherboard it uses though. And the 945 chipset is really quite old by now... But yeah, if it's just for everyday computing it's gonna be more than you need :)

By the way, hello to Burnout, fellow water cooler!

Updated! New Items in bold.

The X800XL won't run Bioshock, and I have the full retail version sitting on my desk so looks like I need to upgrade now :mischievous:

Get a 8800 GTX cheap when the 9800 series rolls out. ;)

Is the E6750 on air with the stock cooler? What are the temps on load/idle? I wanna OC mine but I really don't know how. :/

Don't want to wait that long.... or maybe I do... I don't know, we'll see.

The E6750 is stock cooler. Temps are like 33C idle 50C load. Rock stable.

Ditto.

I just cleaned up the cables on the inside of my case, I'll have to take a picture later when I'm at the office. I changed my motherboard out (for now) with an EVGA 680i motherboard, though I may switch back to the P5B in a few months as my goal is to get some crossfire action going. I've also added a 24" widescreen, Saitek II keyboard and Logitech G5 mouse. In addition I've overclocked my 2900XT from the stock 743/1650 to 850/1800, which is useful running games on the 24".

I was running with three monitors (the two 20s and 24) using the 2900XT and an X1650 Pro for the side monitors but I've since moved that card and one of the monitors to a second computer I use to $*(& around with. I have the 20" left on my main computer turned on it's side, which works out very well for web pages and what's not.

I am looking to buy a new PC later this month or early next month.

Specs I am getting

Make: Chillblast

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66GHZ)

Ram: 4GB DDR 2 800MHZ

Graphics Card: 768MB GF8800 GTX

Hard Drive: 2x250GB 32MB SATA

Optical Drives: 20X Dual Layer DVD-RW

PSU: 650watts

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate Edition 64bit

I used to have this old $h*tbox:

Make: Biostar i think
CPU: Don't know
Ram: 128mb i think
Graphics Card: Don't know
Hard Drive: 60gb, don't know anything else
Optical Drives: Some CD drive (no recordable, DVD, etc), got it replaced with another CD drive similar)
OS: Windows 98

Our current one:

Make: Leader
CPU: Intel Pentium 4, 3.00ghz
Ram: 512mb
Graphics Card: Intel 82865G
Hard Drive: 74.5gb, don't know anything else
Optical Drives: LG CDVD R, RW,
OS: Windows XP Home SP2 (Might be getting Vista one day)

My first real rig is my main one, built myself from Newegg.

At the moment the buildup is as follows:

AMD Opteron 146 at 3ghz from 2ghz
MSI K8N Neo4-F Mobo
G.Skill 1GB (2x512mb) DDR400
7200.10 Seagate Barracuda 160GB HDD.
And a free IBM T22 laptop I have.

P3 900mhz, 256MB of PC100 RAM, getting another 256MB of it, and a 20GB HDD.

Still running strong!

Except for the laptop. Took apart and was painting. Someone threw a tantrum and threw everything around. Destroyed the screen. Asshats...

My first computer was when my Parents bought a brand new Packard-Bell desktop, which was in 1997.

All I know is that it had a weird little logo, and that It could play Putt Putt. :dopey:

The first Modern computer we had was in 2001 my mom bought a Hewlett Packard desktop, it ran windows 2000! I knew nothing of the specs.

The first "good" computer was a Compaq Presario in 2003 in my dads apartment.

40 gig HD, 128 MB of RAM, and it was a workhorse.

We had that until last year, when we got the current computer, a Dell Dimension E521, AMD Athlon x64 Dual Core Processor 3800+ running at 1 gigahertz, and with 1GB of RAM, with a 160 GB Hard Drive. Best computer ever.

At my moms house, we have a Dell E520 from 2005, Intel processor of some sort, 1.8 gigahertz, and 1GB of RAM. Nice PC. :)

What I want?

I want a Notebook.

It would be a HP TX1000Z, Windows Vista Home Premium, AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core (2.2 GHz, 512KB+512KB L2 Cache ), 12.1"WXGA High-Def HP BrightView Widescreen Display(1280 x 800) w/Integrated Touch-screen!! :D :D, 2 GB of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150, and a 200 GB Hard Drive. :)

Update!

I had since gotten my own computer, a Dell Dimension 4600. It's about 4-5 years old.

-60 GB HDD
-512 MB of RAm
-17" Monitor
-XP SP2

This thing was such a POS. Glad that I don't have to use it anymore. 👍

I now own an Acer Extensa.

-4620Z Model
-2 Gigs of RAM
-160 GB HDD
- 15.4" display
-Vista Premium

I love my new laptop. Very fast, looks good, and should stay relevant for a few years longer than the other computers in my house.

Wow, haven't posted in here for a while...

Current (and on the way out) is a Compaq Presario V4000.

1.8ghz Pentium M
100GB hard drive
1GB RAM
128mb Intel 915 GMA (yeah, I know...)

Was near top of the range 2 years ago (emphasis on was) and now it's looking a bit sorry for it's self. Still works, I just need something a little more graphics oriented.

Update:

I've since bought a MacBook Pro.

2.2ghz Core 2 Duo
120GB Hard Drive
2GB Ram
128MB NVIDIA 8600m GT

I have a Super Mac Mini! Modding it from the base model was kinda fun.

1.6 GHz Intel Core Duo
160GB hard drive
2GB ram
Pioneer DVR-K05 CD/DVD+-RW Super Drive
Dell 2005FPW
Windows Vista Ultimate

1.Dell intel celeron 999Mhz, 128Mb ram, 20 Gig harddrive, on board graphics card

2.Dell AMD Sempron 2.2Ghz, 1 Gig ram, 55 Gig Harddrive, It was a laptop

3(Current) Custom AMD Phenon Quad core 2.2Ghz each core, 4 Gig DDR2 pc800 ram, 20 Gig harddrive from my first computer cause my motherboard ram and procesor broke my ass, 128 Mb Graphics card

It does what i need.

Case:

Last machine I can remember:
Some IBM Pentium 4 machine.

Previous:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+
MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum (nForce 4 Ultra)
ATI Radeon X850XT
1GB DDR400
200GB Western Digital SATA HDD

Current:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L (Intel P35)
ATI Radeon HD3850 @ 730mhz core / 1019mhz mem
2GB Geil DDR2-667 @ 800mhz 4-4-4-12
Everything else from previous build

Could probably easily overclock the CPU some, but meh, it runs everything I need it to at the moment. My only regret is thinking a 256mb video card would be enough. :ouch:

Just bought an Acer Aspire last night, at around 930pm, Pacific.

At a best buy for $599.00....plus tax & etc.

It's pretty wicked. It most definately beats the hell outta the PS3's web browser. :P

My current computer is at the time a very large and high tech paper weight. But it is currently being fixed by my uncle. It's got a nvidia GeForce 7500 graphics card and a new and larger power supply.
