Let's hear about what you're currently working on.


Here's mine...


Multi-drivetrain drift vid: I'm working on a drift vid which will include FF, FR, MR, and 4WD cars. The result should be pretty interesting. As I type this I'm doing the FF section. The vid should be comprised of about 4 cars at 4 different tracks.

Team Battle: This should also be getting underway soon pending the announcement of a third driver for Team Project D.

Team Video: Monkey D members have always talked about getting a team video put together but we never really committed to it. You can expect to see a vid in the near future of six of Monkey D's best under a different name.

Personnal Video: I think it's due time I worked on another good ole fashioned link fest. I should be starting this after I complete the Multi-drivetrain vid. This will consist of stock, or near stock drifting on simulation tires. This is more my style. This type of vid really shows me as a drifter.



Anyway, that should be about it unless someone decides to challenge me. Seems like alot but it's all for good fun. So let's hear about you guys.
 
-"Kompressor Does Not Dance"
An SLK 230 Tribute. I've had the urge to do this since I started drifting because of an anit-rave song by a band called Kompressor. I've got the background work done, all it needs is to be capped, trimmed, and thrown together.:banghead:

-R34 project:
A "request" vid for a good friend.

-Personal Vid:
Don't know yet.....Definite car list: Red RS200, yellow FD, Z-Concept......maybe I just might break-down and drift an 86.....in only a 3-second shot........maybe?????:odd:
All I know is I got something insane cooked up for this one......

-EVO project:
A request from my father-in-law to drift a yellow EVO......since he's so proud of his OZ rally edition, and being that he's family now........ummmm I guess I could honor his request;)

-JGTC / Race-Car Theme(s):
A monster undertaking at best........I'll get back to you on this one as soon as I get my other projects finished.:banghead:
 
A buddy of mine just traded in his 5-series BMW for a brand spanking new SLK230. He loves it that rich bastard.

Anyway...

I forgot about my hybrid stuff. Once my Sharkport arrives I had plans for a few cars and I wanted to make a video. I'm not sure if I'm gonna make a seperate video for the hybrids, or just incorporate them into my personal vid. The hybrids would include a rotory AE86, and a few other conversions/swaps such as an R33 GTS-t.
 
I have a bit of a video ready but production has been halted to do a recent bout of mental retardation resulting in deletion of a save...

So until I have earned enough credits on this new save and until I learn to drive again with my new wheel AND with my school starting on Monday, I don't know how long it will take to complete.

First:Hybrid drifting vid (unnamed at present time)

This has been in the works for a few months. I will have a number of interesting hybrids which will be showcased in the vid. I don't really want to give anything away, so you'll just have to wait.:D

Second:2003 Best of (also, unnamed at present time)

This is the one I'm really excited about. It will showcase my most beautiful, impressive, or otherwise interesting drifts. I will be puting a lot of time and effort into it, so don't expect it to be out anytime soon. This shall be my Opus.;)

Third:Learning vid (you guessed it.......also unnamed at the pre.......well.....you know the drill)

I will be puting together a vid in attempt to help people learn to drift. I will be doing it in a more simplified way, then previous "learn how to drift vids". I will focus on the basics, and...........well........your just going to have to wait. ;)

Since shadow asked me if i wanted to i said yes and i'm in the process of making it so it should be good!:eek:
 
I'm currently working on a Video for my battle against NK4E i might use an alto works i might not but what ever it is its gonna be on sims (i usually dont drift with sims)
 
Well I just got through with Night Majik Elite and it's got some pretty good reviews. Check it out.

I also plan on working on Part 2 of the above video. Although, I'll have to wait until my team puts out some more vids in order to do that.

This is going to take a lil bit, but it should be worth it.

I also need to get off of my lazy ass and start thinking of ways to get the Drift Bible series rolling again. I already convinced Ryen49 to partake in Volume 2 so I guess Volume 3 should be what I try to accomplish, although I don't know what topics to cover.

Drift Saga Part 2 is also in the making and I'm thinking about getting Bryan C on this one because I know that he and I could really turn this one out. It should be as good if not better than the first.

Oh, I almost forgot, one of my new vids will be entitled "Ghost Drifting". "Gee, Shadow, I wonder what that'll be about." Says the noob drifter as he sits at his computer desk scratching his hair auspiciously.

Current Projects:

1. Un-involving myself from flame wars on the boards.
2. Restoring my 86 to perfect mintness, and then upgrading the hell out of it, basically doing my best to make it the best overall 86 in the world.
 
GT Concept drifting video, part 2. My first one was decent, but this second will contain longer drifts, since I've now gotten better. It really pushes you to learn i think (b/c the cars are stock and there are no sim tires), but this is hard for me to compare with many of you since not all of you can experience Concept. Once I get my hands on Prologue, I promise I will do Prologue drift video.

For starters, you could shorten up to between 1 and 3 minutes. I'm sure as hell not downloading a 9 minute vid, let alone watching it. Take time, make it polished, and you will have something to be proud of. Do not just get a bunch of replays, string them together, add music, and be done with it. Most of us can spot cheap work, so put some effort into it.....please!;)
 
When I get my capture card My projects will be...

1st : 'Cole'
It will be a vid about a min. long or so of me drifting my green S13(just like Koichiro from iD)

2nd : 'Tribute'
This will basically be for all the guys that have inspired me to play GT3 so much... you can see who they are in sig.

A 9min .wmv vid wont be that big. But a 9min .mpeg file would be.

But i can compress mine to .wmv files so its all okay. But anyway, it doesnt matter because you guys wont be able to see it because i dont have anyone to host anything, so, it doesnt matter.
 
I'm trying to work on my new drifting video when I have the free time, but school is really keeping me busy, especially the SATs and SAT IIs :mad: I hope I can get it out as soon as possible :)
 
My last exam is on Feb 27th. So after that I was thinking of doing a slick tyre tribute, and other with sims. About 5 min each.
 
Wow, you guys are making some really long videos. I don't know about watching that nine minute video there eddie, I mean, if you shorten it up and just get some of your best drifts in there, I sure it will take it down to about 3 minutes or so, I'm not worried about size, it's time of watching it, after about 2 minutes it all becomes the same and I usually wind up clicking the close buttone anyway.

But I'll host for you, just PM me and I'll get you the info you need.

My Current Project:

Setup on an r34, i never really got into drifting of AWD and im kind of taking a liking to it.:)

I have heard that people said its easier to get higher angles with AWD and i just am curious of what i can pull off in an AWD car.

Any tips/suggestions though with the r34? And i dont mean like whole setups;)
