I got this idea from my History of Rock N' Roll class back in my Junior year of high school: if you were to be stranded on a deserted island, what 10 CDs would you bring with you? No custom mixes allowed, but soundtracks and studio compilations are okay.
(Assume you had a portable CD player with unlimited batteries...
)
I'll have to think on mine, but thought I'd throw the question out there.
*EDIT* - regarding dual-disc albums:
If the second disc is just there because the first one ran out of space (such as with Metallica's "S&M"), you can count them as one. But if it's a collection (for example, I have a WWF/WWE 3-disc collection of wrestler theme songs covering the three main generations), no. Pick one disc.
