227 mph in my Corvette ZR-1 @ SS7 i don't believe i have it fully tuned "yet"
 
230 something mph in a stock Veyron that i imported from GTPSP on the SSR7 tunnel straight.
 
416kph with a Veyron on Circuit De La Sarthe without slipstreaming
 
how can it be that my Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro ‘09 is tuned almost to its limits, and I know it can go faster but it would't because of the 6th gear, so can only get it up to around 300kmh/186mph?

244 down the back straight at Circuit De La Sarthe on a stock Veyron. Tried to unlock the trophy. Need more speed.

I wonder if the glitch with the Pikes Peak Suzuki Escudo still exists whereby you screw up the suspension settings and downforce to the pont that the car rears up on it's back wheels and then accelerates exponentially, Think I managed over 4 times the speed of sound in GT4.

Point of top speed testing is to see what the car can do naturally, this includes the air resistance which slows down a car dramatically. So sorry if I don't care if someone gets their Veyron to 287, or something. Not impressive drafting. But for myself, I haven't even tested the Veyron yet. Don't even care at this point. I only top speed test fully tuned cars, so it takes a while. Hence why the Veyron will sit for a long time, no interest in wasting money on that boring car without an interior view. But yea, so far the fastest for me are these two:

1. 242 MPH - Chevorlet Corvette ZR1 (905 HP)
2. 240 MPH - Lamborghini Murcielago LP-640 Chrome Edition (871 HP)

And the slowest car I've tested so far is my favorite car to actually race:

190 MPH - Autobacs Arta Garaiya (503 HP)

Drafting is part of racing and it's in the game so top speed is TOP SPEED, but here is a "natural" run with my ZR1 248mph (905hp)..

Also regarding the veyron, you don't buy it you just win it for beating the GT5 championship.
 
My description, 440kph (273.4mph) without drafting on the Veyron.
 
I think it was 231 to 235 in my fully tuned RS6 Avant in the SSR7 Tunnel.

Tuned the veyron to supersport specs (1,213bhp) and managed 264mph. Reason why I didn't want to hit 268mph is because in game the veyron is 10mph slower than real life on SSR7 so I also wanted the supersport to be 10mph slower than real life (258mph), 264 it is though.

That's impressive! Under what conditions did you set that speed?

Without drafting I have managed a top speed of 276mph on the back straight of La Sarthe.

Using two drafting Veyrons, I have managed a top speed of 289mph on SSR7. It is quite hard to push the car through the 280mph mark without drafting, but I think with two supremely setup Veyrons, it could be possible to break the 300mph mark. 👍

Just got the 111 meters a second trophy in the return tunnel on SSR7 with my tuned ACR. It's not fully run in yet - bang on 1000bhp. I read they go up to 1031bhp?

I have everything on my ACR and it maxed out at 982HP.
I got the 111 meters a second trophy with it. hit 253 drafting on some GT by Citroen concepts on SSR7. hit 248 on it's own.
EDIT: did and engine rebuild for my ACR, it's now pushing 1030HP!

248 mph in a Viper ACR fully tuned (1015 hp or so). Got the trophy to go along with it :D
Ain't tried any speed runs in my fully tuned Veyron yet...
 
I've gotten 248 MPH in my Nissan GT-R SpecV, I was drifting somebody online though, haha. Normally it's top speed is high 230's though. It was 811 BHP at the time.
 
So far I've gotten up to 267 mph in Veyron, no drafting on La Sarthe.
 
283mph with the veyron drafting on SSR7 & theres still a bit left.
 
257mph in my 930bhp RS6 '08 while drafting a Citroen gt Concept on SSR7. About 228 without the draft in the same car with standard gear ratios.
 
300ZX TT 89' Fully tuned top speed no drafting 230mph at 669hp
 
412k/h, Tuned Veyron down the Huniaderes Straight.
 
434kph/271mph with my Veyron :). No Drafting!
 
304 Km/h if Jaguar XJ13 Chrome Line in SS7.
