A GT1 demo from a sampler disc, driving an imola orange NSX round the clubman stage until I could buy the full version.
14 years later, I still have an imola orange NSX in my GT5 garage.

I stopped by a friend's house one day and he was playing GT2. My first experience was the RX7 LM Racecar on the Test Track to get used to the physics. Got hooked after that.

My first GT experience was GT2. I started very late, at around year 2009. :scared: I still play the PS One at that time because old skool. :sly: I didn't know a thing about cars back then. I was playing Harvest Moon, Dino Crisis 2 and one day I decided to try this game which my dad bought but I had never ever touched before. That was the start of something special.

Fast forward to the end of 2010, got the PS3 and GT5: Prologue because it was October and GT5 wasn't released till November. I still had to try out Prologue because I couldn't wait for GT5 with all the delays in release date back then. If I remembered correct, it was scheduled for early 2010 then postponed. :grumpy: Finally got GT5 on December and was kind of disappointed with the lack of cars and tracks from GT2 but still loved the seriously stunning graphics.

Today, on 20/04/2012, I traded in a spare copy of GT5 and the old Prologue for Battlefield 3 because my brother wanted it. I was lucky to even get some value for them seeing as it was such old games. :scared:

When i was 8 (around 1997 christmas) i got original Gran Turismo.
B-1 Licence with Mazda Demio 1000m Acceleration and stopping, i want that car for almost 20 years!

Soundtrack songs were epic, no need to have 70 in-race and 40 menu songs like nowadays.
Perfectly memorable.
The game itself was pretty short apart from GT2 which was loong and fun. :-)

I always had Nintendo and Mario was the game of choice for my young children. The only racing game I ever liked at that time was one a mate had called Sega Rally. One day a guy I worked with started raving on about this game Gran Turismo that had come out. Told me to come over and check it out. Told me once I played it Nintendo would be a thing of the past. One month later I had a Playstation, Gran Turismo and 14 years later I'm still playing. 👍

It was funny how i discovered Gran Turismo back in the days. I always was a PC player (Quake,Doom,Duke Nukem, Supaplex, etc) and also played with the old square Nintendo (Mario Bros 3 rocks) and Sega (Sonic was a beast) at that time. lol

But a friend lend me his PS with a box full of games. I tried and played every Sony exclusive like Duke Nukem Time to kill, Crash Bandicot, Twisted Metal and some more.
And i became a PES/Winning Eleven crazy fan too...till date. Then i took an arrow....oh no sorry for that...lol

Continue... I always loved racing games and just grabbed Gran Turismo and felt in love with it at first sight. My friends came to my house to play and we all agreed that the game was amazing. We played all night long at weekends till the PS got hot and we needed to stop.
The license tests were hard and we tried one at a time. It took ages to complete each license. lol

I won most of the races (split screen) against my friends because i played more than them. And yes of course i became addicted to the franchise. Till date.

Quite simple i was playing games and found it and just liked it and play it till now.
For the PS2 i started to play with a wheel (Driving Force Pro) and now in my PS3 with a G27.

End of story.
