So how was your first lap? Mine was terrible a time of a little over 2mins lol!

I had not played GT5P for a while and was using my G25 I found it very easy to spin and loose control.

This is a video of my second lap as I had forgotten to take off traction control on the first lap! Hope to get a lot quicker than this lol.

Video is still being processed, the video has normal replay and in car replay in HD so you can laugh at my poor first lap lol

If you take 100 laps to get anywhere close to decent, then you don't stand a chance of getting close to the top times!

I thought you hated it?

Anyway, my first lap was about 2:20 ish, went way off twice. :D Had the stock one, TCs didn't help me none either.

In what way does that response bear any relation to what I stated?! Yes, I think this "demo that is not a demo" is a step backwards compared to Prologue. No surprise though - the closer they get to launch, and the more they try to cram in, the more they have to sacrifice stuff. Typical PD development schedule.

I don't remember what my first few lap times where in the stock car, I overcooked the tight section about 5 times before getting the feel for the track. Good news is there is plenty of time to get up to speed 👍

Is that a discription of your first lap? have you even driven a first lap?

Spamming every thread with destructive drivel is becoming irritating... If you haven't got anything constructive to contribute why not just STFU and go play on the FM3 forums.

My first lap resulted in me hitting the "restart" button at turn 1.

I don't think he's played it yet. My guess is he's a FM fanboy, just pretty much here to get a rise out of people.

I played this track in MotoGP, unfortunately, they ran it the opposite way, so, doesn't really help me at all. :(

QFT. Either be constructive in ur criticism (or at least provide some evidence in ur criticism) or don't spam in every thread for the sake of making yourself annoying for those of us enjoying the demo.

Ok, maybe 100 laps is too much, but it's not worth mentioning any of your first say 20-30 laps.

I doubt anyone will put in their fastest lap time within the first 20-30 laps. It's the same with professional racers. It takes dozens of laps to learn the course and hit your best lap times.

There is a word for people who tell people to do one thing but do not practice that same attitude themselves.

These are forums, and I am free to express my opinions on this as I see fit. I do not rate the graphics at all, the controls are far too twitchy, and overall it is a huge step backwards compared to prologue.

Is that because you are using a sixaxis by chance? I'm pretty sure you were saying in another thread that pd games are designed for use with controller before wheel? Maybe I'm missing something.

My first lap was even worse, it was a disaster. I'm someone that wants to drive to the limit right away, instead of first learning how the car handles. So I kept spinning out. Then I decided to try the stock car but to my horror my very embarrasing time got saved and I couldn't stand the shame of being placed on the leaderboards with a time over 2 min so I quickly got back in to get rid of it. :)

Stop feeding him guys, just look at his post and

I'm pretty sure my first lap resulted in me spinning out almost immediately and restarting, well I suppose that wasn't my first full lap but either way it wasn't good.

No, I'm not using a sixaxis...

Based on what I've read about people using wheels and pads, I would say that it stands true - they have made sure it can be used with the pad. However, they have just dropped the ball completely by messing up the physics and controls entirely, regardless of what input method you use.

Yep, you'll be racing alright - racing to achieve a time that's close to mine but never quite good enough. Never mind kid.

Good day Sir. If its not too much trouble for you; could you please post this great "time" of which you speak?

Incorrectly put the video in my first post it is there now though :)

I am going to have a proper go on it tonight, my main problem is turning the wheel too fast and ending up spinning.

Also I have a heavy right foot where I just plant the accelerator and end up spinning the car in turns as I am presuming would happen IRL if I did the same.

I am sure I can get the hang of it and enjoyed the couple of laps I have done. I just dont get much time to play with a 5 month old baby hence why I am rubbish lol.

Same here, hope the MotoGP track will be available in the full game.

First Lap? HAHAHA I didn't even get to the bloody start/finish line. Now? If I can keep myself in the top 50 Aussies i'll be happy.

Ive only just started with pro physics on prologue and find it quite rewarding when you complete a race. Spent 2 hrs getting used the new feel(which I do think has improved )managed to get 1:45 on tuned which I was quite pleased about .Getting back on topic my first lap was awful .Started to get dizzy with all the donuts I was doing lol

My first lap was ok, I took the corners steady and braked far earlier than was necessary as I felt my way around the car's ability (I started with the stock 370Z rather than the tuned). My main mistakes were carrying too much speed in certain corners and drifting wide into the grass, too used to my F1 corner exits.
Most of my braking points from F1:CE carried over though, just with a slight adjustment. 👍

The thing that struck me most on my first lap was the reaction of the tyres grip on the banked turn at speed, the way the car drifts and struggles to keep grip is quite amazing, possibly my favourite part of the demo at the moment.

first lap in either car was pretty bad (started in the stock car - something like 2:05) and 1:55 in the tuned (with TC off) went off sooo many times.

have only put in something like 15 laps at the moment (sadly I have to work). Although its Friday and nearly home time - so looking forward to putting a few in tonight.

First lap or first completed lap?? :D First lap for me was terrible... didnt know the track, new physics... nothing but spins... First completed lap I was at 1.45,xxx in the tuned which is HELL of slow... but I can thank myself for that since I havent been racing for months now... Anyway.. going to put in some seat time this weekend and drive a few seconds off that horrible time.. 👍

my first lap in the 370z stock with all aids off on simulation/professional settings was like 2.28.00 i was all over the place, i only did a few laps but the times greatly improved once i learned the track some, but i'm WAY off from the leaderboards. When i shut off the ps3 last night (after 40mins of play or so) i was ranked 106th on the stock version and 68 place on the tunned version. I will most likely be back tonight or this weekend to have more go at it. :)👍

speaking of fast times, you are way up there on the leader bards. how's the weather up there? :)

Spun out on the first turn, then the 2nd, and 3rd...:dopey:

Now I'm used to it, can drift and do fast laps no problem (don't compare me to the top, currently 24th in my country but I plan to improve).
