You know, "yo mama" jokes are funny, but I don't like people telling them. I was around a friend of mine when a guy suddenly came up to us and told us a "yo mama" joke. My friends mother had just died 2 weeks previous. He didn't cry but I know it hurt him.I don't know why I'm saying this. I guess I just won't forget that look that came over his face...

This is like being PC; you might offend somebody so you can't say it at all. I understand your empathy for your friend but we can't be constantly trying to guess who might be offended by a joke. Everything offends somebody.
