Your motivation & wishlist for GT7

Don´t have a specific car wishlist, same with tracks actually.
All I know is IF we get new tracks I want real world ones, not made up phantasy nonsense - same with cars obviously.

The #1 thing I want from GT7 at this point is a super robust PSVR2 implementation.
This will ultimately decide if I drop the game or not.

A race for every car I have fits in would be a start.

Content in general would be good.

I turn it on check the dealership then logged out the last few times.

I wish a stable pp system ( or whatever) that didn't mess everything after each update.
Pd among the others must have a special department hunting..... the glitch hunters .

I wish to bring back the old seasonals ( and the payouts ) but am sure that never gonna happen.

And a general wish ( for Sony mostly) is to became true the Play. Has. No. Limits instead the
Pay. Has. No. Limits that we facing in reality.

Funny thing is, even pay has its limits. No matter how many credit packs you buy, you won't be getting any invitations, swaps or S parts any time soon.

All this things, engine swaps , invitations ,S parts etc. work like sweepstakes at the real life " hope market " .
Hope dies " last " plus some people earn the right to feel luckier than others.
Maybe in a short future, when people get bored all this, they're free to buy them.
Anyway , personally i dislike all these unstable conditions that occurs almost after every update and i think that Pd must find stability in their Bop , pop ,hard rock ,pp pht ,et (or whatever they want to call it ) system of cars performance .

Also i got the feeling that gt7 will be a different game in two years ( more or less) from his release.

I just read through all the wishlists and the only common released content item found was the Vette C8.

@Flowering00 had their wish for Road Atlanta granted, and @MrHorsepower for the RS500.

Other than those, we're still waiting for quite a lot. Here's hoping 2023 will bring any dreamer content from our lists...and though we finally got a race for Mount Panorama it's a big joke and doesn't pay well. The new Nordschleife shouldn't exist either

I'm on the fence about even writing a response, but Tumek5 seems like a passionate fan so here's a quick thought.

I'm not preoccupied at the least on what PD is going to do. They are professionals and will do what they think they need to do to be one of the winners in a highly competitive environment. So I am apathetic to what GT7 will turn into. Instead, I just enjoy what it is currently and use my time/energy on learning more about racecraft, the engineering and the underlying physics that drive all things.

We all want a better game, but sometimes, it is evidently out of our control and it may be better to put our energy into things that actually gives us a return on our investment.
I agree. PD will do what they think is best to maximize their profits.

I don't worry about things that are beyond my control.

The custom races are what keeps me interested.

I hope PD has an ace or two up their sleeves, like the C8 Corvette and the GTAm.

Custom Championships, or something like the S license randomizers from GT2 are on my wishlist.

I feel like more people have that sorta mindset, than you find in general on here. "The Silent Majority" so to speak.

If they introduce endurance racing that's at least double the length of race c, I'm up for it. It'll save me forking out on pc upgrades, too.

My wish list is short

Fix BOP, especially Gr4
Daily races a lap longer in most cases
Fix connection issues
Either have a database of awesome stats like Kudo had/has for GTSport, or enable Kudo to data mine and produce the stats.

Well, we got a couple of (fairly disappointing at first sight) events at Mount Panorama and Monza, still waiting for my wished 1h races there. Don't get me wrong, on one hand is nice that those tracks got new events, but on the other I expected something more special than 3 or 5 laps races there for street or hypercars.
I was right last time with the RS500, hope PD includes the GT500 races soon

My wish list:

Tracks:
Grand valley, Sierra (and more like it), SSR 11, Tahiti Maze.

Cars:
90s BTCC cars, V8 supercars.

Modes:
Shuffle mode, touge racing, rallying on stages, gymkhana, race of champions style knockout competition, drag racing knockout competition.

Shuffle is the important one for me. Give us an opportunity to drive all these cars.

Also proper timing. Display when someone breaks fastest sector or fastest lap briefly during race. Display a proper end screen with best lap and sector times.

Motivation... Not much left

Pretty much down to doing the daily workout... a race or two for my 550k and thats about it...

Wishlist?

Where to start.... the game is mile wide and an inch deep.

More tracks and variations. One make races. evo vs. impreza type races it lacks ...Off Road tracks Pikes Peak... give us Chamonix for snow racing its flippin wintertime...

How about another truck? Jeez

Wishlist currently m3 g80 Cs. Another super saloon that somewhat rivals the excellent alfa gtam

My motivation is low right now, I mostly start GT7 and grind Le Mans or 10 Laps Spa Francorchamps for credits because I'm saving up for the Mercedes CLK GTR or the BMW McLaren F1 1997, then I get so tired, teary-eyed and bored that I have to quit.

Wishlist? Things that would make the difference, off the top of my head:

Finally adding all the beloved and legendary GT cars that are still missing would be huge for me. Where is the Mitsubishi FTO LM? The Toyota-7? The Toyota TS020? Etc.

Another thing that would seriously help is more tracks, especially city tracks. I really enjoy tight twisty and technical tracks. GT7 is completely lacking in this regard, we have huge swooping tracks with perfect surfaces which are nice...for a while.
Rome, Seattle, Hong Kong, Paris, Tokyo - those temporary tracks were amazing and provided a great amount variety.

Adding weather to all tracks would help keeping things interesting.

Apricot hill.

Next up - proper endurance races. 10 laps? 1 hour? 30 minutes? Those are rookie numbers. I remember 1000km Nürburgring, 99 laps Special Stage, 24 hour Le Mans etc. The current ''endurance'' races are a joke, that they have like 6 times tire wear and fuel consumptions should tell you how bad they are.

Adding hillclimb events. Point-to-Point races with twisty tight streets and slippery surfaces, I have always liked those events. Late Gran Turismo has been hardcore about the history of motor racing - well let me tell you that hillclimbs were a huge part of motorsport in the beginning when most circuits we know today did not even exist yet. Heck, Porsche got big by winning hillclimbs.

What I find in general is that PD has become extremely serious and is playing it incredibly safe, fun is not allowed.

Now that we know GT7 will support VR2 on PS5, and vice versa....

This news would mean that a portion of the PD staff or a portion of their resource last year was dedicated to implement that feature...

Would you not agree ?

And if so, that might explain why they could not deliver more than we wanted...

Of course we players would want everything on our wishlist to be delivered, but realistically based of the finite limited resource and the refusal by Kaz to acquire more staff, (he wants to keep a tight knit team), in retrospective
I think what we have gotten and what we will soon be getting, it's fairly good,

Hoping that Kaz and pD delivers exactly what we want for the PSVR2 implementation... Crossing fingers.

More tracks that bring variety like city tracks, hillclimbs, something like „Eiger Nordwand“ or even different Rallye tracks like the Toscana one in GT5.

Making use of all the track layouts in the game, some have no races on them.

More races with unique themes like two rival car models, recreations of historic races etc.

The Nissan Skyline GT-R Touring car R32 should have been in the game at the release date... let alone ONE YEAR in the game's development.
The fact that we have all those stupid VGTs and not any official group A or V8 supercars makes me feel as though a part of this game is missing

I agree about the Calsonic R32. A Group A M3 should have been in addition to the E30 M3 SE. If PD are adding a couple classic race cars to each Gr._, it would have made sense to offer players choices of the cars mentioned.

There is a tonne missing from this game for it to be a fully fledged, numbered GT game. No races for licenses above A, no GT simulation mode/career, AI that hasn't improved in well over a decade, the list goes on.

Nearly 12 months on and it is only marginally better than it was on release.

I have no idea what PD are thinking, or how they can stand back, look at GT7 and think "Yep, we nailed it"

Since GT7 has most accurate nurburgring and even sponsors the famous event itself, I wish in upcoming updates we would get such cars as:

In total my wish is that GT7 would add full 24 hours race on Nurburgring with around ~60-70 cars on grid featuring all of these cars above, plus some additions like Porsche Cayman, Ford Mustang Gr.4 already featured in the game.

What specifically is the TCR Class?

My motivation has run pretty low recently, just playing around with custom races and grinding to buy cars to complete my multiclass field.

I would love to see more recent gr1, gr2 (gt500), gr3 and gr4 cars. Some more real life tracks like sebring, bahrain and zandvoort plus some classic gt tracks like grand valley and apricot hill. Also some more endurance races with decent payouts so we don’t have to grind the same three races all the time. The ability to create custom championships would also be amazing
