I've had this car for a while, I just wanted some of you guys take on it. I usually use my Pennzoil or other Skylines in races, but the 400r just looked good for some reason so I kept it. Is it worth modifying and racing, or should I just leave it?

I think every car is worth having in GT3, but the 400R can't be tuned as high as other Skylines, however thats not always a bad thing. Comparing the 400R to other R33's I think the 400R is the best of them.

400R is what i use for my drift car. It looks good with a nice pair of rims on it. And fairly fast.

Sell it and buy something worth racing, that car is a ball of turd not worth modifying at all

well the 400r looks nice but it just is not fun to drive or drift i sold mine after i kept it for a while because it look nice.

i admit it does look good but still it doesn't get you far in the game. Try doing the All Stars championship Pro league with a mini cooper (61bhp) then you'll be a true pro :D

The 400r is elligible in the Polyphony Digital Cup which it owns. Gotta watch it though, with no assistances it can get tail-happy in the tight stuff with cold slicks

Its a great tossable car, for me. Since i'm not a great fan of its handling, due to its understeer, I don't use it too much although, it is a good car to drive every once in a while, and by the way I think those rims looks nasty on the car, anyone think that also?

Not especially fast, or smooth, or competitive for its power. But I like the way it looks. And come on, that's what really matters.
I have a nice yellow sedan version in GT2.

I got the Silver/Gray in GT3. I wanted the yellow, don't ask me why, but yellow just works for that car.

Yeah, I know. I have the yellow:) . Black rims too;) .

To be more specific the 400 r has 400 bhp and is still considered standard. This means it has approx 100 bhp more than normal GTR's which is a huge advantage when racing in the PD cup.

Grrrr, can someone tell me the 3 lsds for the escudo i messed it up

WTF man. This thread is about the 400R.

I love this car. But I haven't found good settings for it. If anyone knows any or where to get them let me know.

Colly asked the same question in the tossible car thread which I answered for him there.
Colly please try to keep to the topic in question.

Colly:

1) Go to the "Change Parts" screen, and click twice on the LSD to remove and reinstall it. This will effectively reset the component to the defaults.

2) Please try to stay on topic... I've seen a number of random questions of yours in totally different threads. If you can't find it by searching, start a new thread.

milefile: I haven't tried this setup but off the bat it doesn't sound too bad, though the slightly stronger brakes in the front I wouldn't agree with necessarily (the 400R kinda has its understeer issues as is) but as I said I haven't tested it yet.

Come to think of it I haven't taken the Nismo out for a spin in a while.

If you ask me the 400R obviously has the looks (the original wheel and color combination is great) and the performance is there too. If I could change something about the car it would only be giving the headlights more glare, they don't really look all that bright, the same goes for the GT-R LM Road Car.

Thanks SS. I'll try those out later. I looked there but was looking under Nissan and not Nismo. Duh. I have always had good luck with Fumes set-ups.

Yes You have asked this same question 2times b4. Next time look at the thread header b4 posting, just to make sure your on track. Please keep Focus.

The Nismo400R IMO, is a lovely car i have got two of em(yellow and grey) in my garage sitting next to my GTR-R-Tune(Active Red). At first the understeer was a bother, but after adjustin my settings which i found at GTP somewhere, i found the car, lets say, more responsive.:D

Perfect car for dominating the PD cup. Handles quite easily, and you can get 15 laps out of your T3's on most tracks.(Although you might as well pit at lap 10-11, anyhow.)

Looks great in red, too.

a question for those that used 400R in PD Cup - is my assumption that with a decent pit strategy it would rape the field correct?

How do some of you have 2 400r's? I thought you could only win it once.

Answer for Frmrr97GXE. With this car you win quite easily.
Answer for Realist128. You need two memory cards, save game to slot 1 after doing two of the 3 series races. Do the third race next . You win the car, save this to slot 2. Reload game from slot 1 and then do race 3 again. Win different coloured car. Now go to trade menu and highlight slot 2. Buy in the in car from slot 2 and you now have 2 cars the same in different colours. Keep doing this as long as you want.

Thanks for the tip man. Unfortunately, I only have one memory card, but whatever, I can live with the yellow 400r.:)

Getting another car the can only be won once and not bought is easy, just multiply the sell value of the car by four, if you have that many credits you have another of that car. Make sure you have enough and that the card with the car you want to clone is connected to the PS2 (doesn't matter which slot). From the "Home" menu choose "Trade", choose which slot the card is in and scroll to the car you want to clone, hit X, hit it again, and you have another one of a kind car. All credit goes to Famine for this, I had no idea about it before now.
