I was going for a hot-lap, then I ran out of fuel just past the Karussel.

^Thanks for the official timinig.

But the unofficial stands too:
From "Skyline, the ultimate japanese supercar" by Andy Butler
Porsche 944 : 8min45
BNR 32 : 8min20
BCNR33 : unofficial 30 sec faster than R32

Sorry I read that book last night ;) Otherwise I wouldn't even have bothered to take the book out

Since I have a Toyota Tacoma it would probably take like a week and a half.

Around 9 min for the 330i, but apparently that's hindered greatly by the top speed limit.

Taking driver skill and the speed limiter into account, I'd say 10.5 to 11 minutes with my Bonneville.

Really, I have no accurate idea....

The Focus was apparently tuned at the Nurburgring (how useless) but I can't find any indication of time though. I'd think somewhere between 9:45-10 would be a pretty sound, educated guess, barring the driver was good. I know if I was myself driving you could probably add a few more minutes onto them as a "skill handicap".

10.5 to 11 minutes is my guess for an ist/xD. Probably take me an extra minute, because I wouldn't drive my own car at 10/10ths on the Ring, unless I was racing for my life.

And to be realistic, you would drive on the tourist layout, so add a minute or 2 due the track cut and overtaking all the cars or making space for overtaking cars and even than you still damn fast

'03 Corolla, 1.8L auto. If I had decent tires and conditions, I could maybe do it in about 10 minutes. A pro driver could maybe do 9:30ish? Going off the Voltz estimate a bit because the Corolla is the same drivetrain.

You should actually try it, it's amazing how much fun you can have with an average car.

Well I'll try the Voltz on GT5, but if I went all the way to Germany to drive an automatic Corolla on the Nurburgring...

It took me about 15 minutes, but as I wasn't timing myself I can't say for sure.
One day I'll stop posting that link every time "your own car on the Nurburgring" is mentioned. That day is not today.

Might as well...those of us overseas will have to use a rental car, know an insane friend, or just bring a lot more money than talent to ever drive our own machinery on the 'Ring.

^If the crazy japanese people bring their cars down to the ring you can too. ;)
No lame excuses accepted :D

Yes we can race!

/sarcasm

Rent a race car while you are there, more fun than your daily :D (unless you have a seriously cool daily car)

Dude, they're beeping rich if they're bringing their cars over.

1.6 Toyota avensis hmm probably around 13mins with these studded tires that i use at the moment. Iam guessing around the same time for the Honda Cr-v. It would probalby take it a week, but since it has v-tec it has to bee super fast (for its size and weight), tho its already verry underpowerd.

Ok time to bump an old thread. Took an ST185 Celica RC that I had previously tuned up, applied standard parts except parts that are on my real vehicle, applied ballast and lowered the power to match the dyno result my real car achieved not long ago (allowing for drivetrain loss) and put on sports hard tires.

Drove a careful lap of the ring, using no aids except ABS 1, using G25, h pattern shift mode, no crashing etc the way I'd like to think I'd drive if I was actually there and knew the track really well (in the game I was using the map as an aid) and I did an 8.58.950 with a lot of improvement to be had if I actually pushed it hard.

Somehow I don't think I could manage that speed in real life :)

'02 2-Door S10 Blazer, so about 190hp.

Given that Transit on Top Gear pulled it off in about 10, somewhere <10 would be my guess.

93 Accord Coupe. 2.2l I4. Completely stock and around 130hp I'd say. 5th gear would probably get me to 120-130mph downhill :P. If we talking about the Nordschleife layout I'd say anywhere between 12 and 15 minutes if I pushed it. 20 minutes seems like a safer bet though. My suspension would probably be done half way through regardless.

Edit- just ran the 88 accord coupe with my cars 1237kg 140hp comfort medium. 9:47 although my car wouldn't do it that fast.

And they lightened it a lot. Even her belt lol.
Still entertaining to watch her pass 911s in a van.
