You guys say these are negative (which they are) but all of it is true. I dont mean the GT7 dead ones, just boring game
It's just that negative comments breed more negative comments. I'm just sick and tired of reading about it.
If you want to post and read negative comments, then start a thread stating negative comments on GT7, otherwise keep it out of the general news.

These negative comments are coming back with a vengeance....
And they are justified. You can generally like something but still criticize certain aspects. That doesn‘t mean you hate everything about it.

All things considered I enjoy playing GT7 (otherwise I would have stopped long ago) but the game still has fundamental issues that hold it back from being truly excellent. Which is really annoying because PD got so many things right (physics (mostly), graphics, sound, livery editor, scapes, customization) but dropped the ball on others (A.I., lack of career mode, lack of a sense of progression, outdated cars).

Thats the dumbest take i have read in the last month. Why cant i criticize respectfully a game that i paid 80 bucks? Its not like im always sharing these negative comments towards the game. Also they r all fundamented.

I understand the point made by @jrbabbitt.

How many times have you (and a large number of people, including me) already expressed your sentiment about the flaws of the game ?

Do you intend to repeat yourself with every update ? Every news ?

Do you think the thread about latest news is the best place to express your feelings about the game ?

You can criticize the game, it has big flaws, but maybe choose another thread to do so, and if you gonna repeat your point each time, maybe move on, it serves no purpose at this point.

I come to this thread to read the "latest news" about the game, not to read the same bunch of guys complaining every time with the same complaints that I know (and have the same feeling about) since 3 years now.

This is the first time i see that the radiator get leak after a crash with a betong barrier. Is this new or is it only the P1?

Fair point!

To stay on topic: I wonder if September gets skipped concerning an update as some of you have suggested.

I really hope that‘s not the case because some new sports cars or race cars would be cool. I also have a few livery ideas for the Opel VGT in mind that I‘d like to try.

I have about 100hours but what really kills me is how much grinding you have to do to get credits. making credits hard to get whilst making cars expensive to simulate "real world economics" misses the mark of what a "real racing simulator" is supposed to mean in video games
The goal is probably to make those cars feel exclusive, rather than an attempt to simulate real world economics.

I criticized the game 5 times. So its not like im only hating on the game 24/7. And yes maybe i was a bit repetitive. However its also a thread for discussion on the gamae, so i think its not wrong to share our 2 cents, even if they are negative or whatever. Again sorry @jrbabbitt

Pls!

Im 50/50, not sure what to think.

What i am sure, and very sure actually is that we need proper communication from PD regarding updates and stuff in general.
While i do love the thrill of not knowing whats next in an update or if we even will have one, i think its better for a clean roadmap.

For example: Gran Turismo 7 2025 roadmap.
September - Update launching 28th, trailer 21th. 4 cars - 1 track - 2 Menu Books. October - No update - November

I wont keep going but you get the point. To keep the WOW/surprise element, they can only say the amount of cars, not the cars names.

as you already expressed your overall feelings about the game (as many of us did) you should share your 2 cents in relation with the news or update being discussed, not repeat a broader feeling about the whole game, that's what I try to do and I find that way more relaxing than ruminate same old grudges about the game, that probably won't change now and if they do, I doubt it will be because of this thread or forum.

I love this game, and lately is the only thing i play that i can stay with and be happy with...

i paid money too for this and i believe in the right to complain and speak your mind about such things, what i have the issue with is the constant and repetitive negative comments that we as a game base have no way of resolving nor a proper way of getting these complaints to PD. There are no direct means of communications to PD.

Apology accepted and i respect you for telling me that i was a bit wrong in what i have posted prior. it's not wrong to share your 2-10 cents (inflation) but this thread is "latest news and discussion" not a rant and complaint thread...

So now that i have read most if not all the replies to my statement, please accept my apologies for any ****e i may have stirred and splattered

It's all good mate! I can't speak for everybody but I'd assume that most of us get so frustrated with the game from time to time is because GT7 is actually a really good game at its core that is held back by only a few flaws. If it was complete ****, most people would simply stop playing it and move on but that's not the case. The game could be even better than it already is but PD don't let it live up to its true potential.

The annoying part of GT7 trying to be a "real world economics simulator" is that there's no bargains for a savvy buyer, e.g. a Skoda Fabia VRS instead of a Polo GTI, a Pulsar DIG-T instead of a Megane RS or a Corolla T-Sport instead of a Civic Type R.

yeah you're right, making them exclusive makes me want them even less...

agreed ...they could have just made the 'exclusive' cars something you have to get a gold trophy in...the rationale behind that in GT7 is whats killing me. Otherwise very little to no complaints (Yes I also want waaaay more tracks even if made up)

It's not trying to do this though. The economy isn't realistic at all. What it's trying to do is impart an additional value on certain cars by brute-forcing scarcity.

If there's a job that'll pay me five grand for driving a stock second hand vehicle around Brands Hatch for two laps, with no other cost of entry... yup, I'll take it... beats reality hands down.

Tyre heat from direct under the front bonnet? 🤔. If I looked straight backwards it was from the middle back of the front bonnet
Front tyres locked up in braking, that is tyre smoke....and looking at the next post l see that picture and I could be wrong... I've been hit hard and into walls hard but never seen steam from front like that

To a limited extent, I'm with @jrbabbitt and @Lomic regarding the continually repetitive negative commentary. Folks really, really need to go read the license agreement you agree to, every time you launch GT7, or any other game published for a Playstation. None of us have actually paid for "the game". We paid for a license to use the software. That software product is provided "as is" and Sony and PD are under no legal or moral obligation to change functionality or content. Their only incentive to do so is to get the folks that take other's word for the games operational functionality, and any other aspects about the game, to buy a license to use it. That is the only reason content and feature updates are offered. So they can sell another license and/or subscription fee. Updates are in no way shape or form for the folks that have already bought said license or subscription.

Disclaimer- The license agreement link posted is for the US version. Other countries may have other verbiage.

Interpretation is important here though. If this really is the case for the agreement, then game companies can release whatever the hell they like and NOT be forced to "complete" a game by law. In other words, this statement pretty much allows "half-finished" games to enter the market and not have the developer face some kind of penalty. All the game has to do is meet the minimum standard in terms of functionality. This wording needs to change because it can screw over consumers and not give them ANY leg to stand on in the court of law.

I’m still loving this game 3.5 years on, I look forward to each Monday morning eagerly awaiting the new set of daily races in which I usually stick to one race for the whole week, studying all sorts of replays and YouTube content to improve day by day,

This is just racing perfection in my eyes, getting yourself a good livery and especially this week with the S2000 at Sardegna has a real track day feel to it.

I have a bunch of buddies to chase times with on the leaderboard and race probably 50/75 races per week, on one track 😁

The time triallling community is actually bigger than the daily racing community (I believe)

This will be my retirement when I get there!

So here’s some GT positivity from a lifelong fan who feels just spoilt with what we have in the modern era!

👌

No it's not tyre smoke... It cant come any smoke from tires when the car has zero movement in over 1 minute after reverseing from the site of the crash... Sorry for may english.
