The game is not represented in any way or form in the upcoming title PlayStation all stars battle royal * launch is set for tomorrow* , seeing as GT5 is first party and the best selling title on the play station. What are your thoughts. The game represents play stations history and includes games from all play station consoles from all genres.
* rumors had it the gt stage was scraped when teem ico neglected support for there characters in a GT5 S.O.T.C. mash up *
Would you like to see it as future DLC or in an Easter egg?
* a stage could be done using an original track and the redbull X1 *
EDIT: more like a stage not a character

Quite pointless to include a racing simulator in a fighting game. What the hell would they include, Kaz as a character with a special move that delays enemy attacks?

Besides, it'd never be as cool as this:

In the red corner, it's Kazunori Yamauchi!

Moves list:

1. Nissan car launch (throws Nissan vehicles at high velocity)
2. Horn blast (honks deafening car horns in your ears)
3. Carbon drive shaft whip (unleashes ninja-like carbon shaft swings)
4. Paint chip spit (spits venomous paint chips up to 75 feet)
5. B-spec BOB BEATDOWN (secret rage weapon, powers unknown)

Oh god I can't stop laughing at this 👍

GT in Battle Royale?!

How do you guys come up with this? Why would one even wonder wether it should include GT5?

Gt 5 is an iconic game, not a game with an iconic character....

Completely agree. I fail to see the OP's logic here.

Sometimes it's just that simple. :sly:
Sad how many fail to see it though.

I cannot understand what your train of thought was on this. How could they possibly feature a car or track in a fighting game?

When I read the list of characters that were involved in that game. I never thought to myself," you know what this needs, a car!".

I didn't think that because it's crazy!

Maybe they should have put a plane in out of ace combat? Or would you prefer a firework out of Super Stardust HD? Or what about a flower, out of the game FLOWER!?

Come on pal, use a bit of grey matter.

Fixed. Gotta make it authentic, huh? 👍

Haha you guys had me dying

Kaz would be an awful fiigter...

He'd think about throwing a punch, but by the time he'd delivered it, his opponent would've died of old age.

Or he'd try and throw a punch, but instead get it all wrong and start moonwalking or doing the running man instead...

And you totally got how just because the developers of the game lack imagination for these things (which, considering how soulless it has been up to this point, seems to be the case) totally means that something can't be done.

Yep.

I don't see why people see this as an odd or bad idea. It's a fighting yes, but a bit on the wacky side of things if I'm understanding things right (Super Smash Brothers copy/paste).

How on Earth can't you think of a way to fit a car track into the game? Especially a track. It's just a back drop. Mortal Kombat had cars in it, addmitedly they had a minor role, but they could serve the exact same purpose (minus gore) in this game.

Personally I don't care though, if I wanted to play SSB, I'd play SSB.

GT isn't a fighting game. That's why.

And? None of the characters in All Stars are from a fighting game. That's... kind of the entire point.

Right.

Anyway, it wouldn't have been hard to have some sort of GT representation in the game. While they certainly wouldn't have had to go all Hornet Classic in the game with the X1 being a playable fighter or something, they could have easily put in a stage set in one of the GT series' hallmark fictional tracks (the Grand Valley bridge, for example), with a couple of the repeat GT songs as a backing. It does seem like a missed opportunity, but not one that is surprising to be missed considering how superficial the entire game seems already in celebrating Sony franchises.

I don't think that a scene from a track would fit into the game, the way I think of this game is kind of a cartoony game, and GT's scenery is anything but. I think it would stand out like a sore thumb.

Saying that tho, it would be kinda cool, but I'm honestly not bothered, I won't be buying it anyways.

Giant Zombie Jeff Gordan overwatching a fight in NASCAR pit lane.

It would be just like watching NASCAR.

On a more serious note GoW first boss didn't look like this:

At least it could be used on a stage background, like F-Zero in smash brothers (they have cpt. falcon too).

It doesn't bother me because there is no single character tied to the Gran Turismo series so there isn't a need for a GT character. If they chose B-Spec Bob he would just do the opposite of what you ask and constantly run into barriers anyways.

I guess they could make a GT scene but again, what do they choose? A pit lane or grandstands of some sort but it's not like there is one so iconic that it has to be in the game.

If you really want one there is always hope for DLC. They already announced the first two.

Perhaps they could have used one of the hundreds of cones from the Top Gear track as a character... Cone Fighter... I'd buy that.

Or the monkey... or the nessie monster... or Jenkins The Cat... well, you get the idea.

Maybe the naked chick at Cote d'Azur?

I'll vote BOB, maybe he's actually a fighter and racing is just a job. Laziness, not listening to orders, failing to meet deadlines, complaining he's too tired to work. Yup, just a job to BOB.
