In the red corner, it's Kazunori Yamauchi!

Moves list:

1. Nissan car launch (throws Nissan vehicles at high velocity)
2. Horn blast (honks deafening car horns in your ears)
3. Carbon drive shaft whip (unleashes ninja-like carbon shaft swings)
4. Paint chip spit (spits venomous paint chips up to 75 feet)
5. B-spec BOB BEATDOWN (secret rage weapon, powers unknown)

LMAO

Kaz could also call a DeltaWing that shoots lasers from above (piloted by Ordonez of course) :sly:

At least it could be used on a stage background, like F-Zero in smash brothers (they have cpt. falcon too).

The F-Zero stage was pretty cool though, imagine fighting on a normal track from GT, that wouldn't be too exciting! Kart Space would work though, bright and flashy! I can't remember, is it an "original" track? If it is, that would definitely work 👍.

I don't think it's "original" because I think I'm right in saying that this is the 1st GT with karts.

I think he means original in the way that PD created the track.
I'd love to fight in there, having the hazard of being run over by a kart.

Correct, meaning it's a PD created track!

@nealcropper: I can see where you're coming from though!

I don't agree with references to F-Zero in SSB. There are some important differences between that and GT in the PlayStation knockoff of SSB. For one thing, F-Zero is unique to Nintendo, with its own style, race machines, and tracks that are all immediately recognizable as F-Zero. Aside from the X-2010/2011, the cars of GT are cars just like any other place you have those cars, the real-world tracks aren't GT tracks but just tracks, and the original tracks would appear to players as just a track. Nobody would play those arenas and exclaim "Cool! Gran Turismo!" It would just be, "Oh, a road. Woopdie-doo."

Well..., I guess we could have a bunch of last-gen models of Skylines running through the arena every so often. I guess "Hey, what's with all the Skylines?" would make people think "Gran Turismo". Or have the arena as the white GT Auto garage screen with some blokes doing oil changes on Skylines.

Hi ! Kaz translator should be there !

And the powers could be

A) Standarize: Turns everyone into ugly low poligon count 3d old models.

B) Ralentization: Add horrible lag to the online, and makes you move faster than anyone else (if you don´t have a wheel, of course...)

C) Idiotization: The IA of the NPC falls to 0... doing everytime the same movements...

:D

Just kidding. I LOVE GT :D

It would have been good to have a nod to one of the most important PlayStation game series; apparently Sony didn't see it that way. I'm sure there could have been a stage that evoked memories of Gran Turismo very well to people like us, the only problem would be people who haven't played Gran Turismo at all. Considering GT5 has sold more than a copy for every 8 PlayStation 3's sold I'd say any GT stage would be easily as recognisable as a God of War or Little Big Planet one. If anybody thinks of a reason there shouldn't be a GT stage which gets around what I just said and isn't fuelled by sheer snobbery I'd love to read it.

P.S If anyone's wondering I don't have Battle Royale and don't intend to, no GT stage is bad enough, but there's also no Crash Bandicoot or Spyro... :grumpy:

Now that is a travesty. Crash or Spyro should have defiantly have been in there.

Crash is a PS classic. I don't know a single person who has a console that wouldn't know who crash is. Also even my girlfriend has played Spyro, and she does not play computer games at all. For me Crash is to Playstation what Mario is to Nintendo.

Unfortunately, Sony no longer own the rights to Crash or Spyro which is why they aren't in the game. I, along with everyone else, would love those two characters in the game but I don't ever see it happening.

As for GT in the game, I think a stage based off some GT original circuits could work very well. Throw some GT audio tracks in as the bgm and you have a great little nod to Sony's biggest franchise but it wouldn't feel completely out of place.

While they may not own those rights now, they also don't own the rights to several of the characters that DID make it into the game. Big Daddy? Seriously? I've always associated Bioshock much more with Microsoft than Sony (probably because it took a year before the original game appeared on the PS3)... I don't have a clue what they were thinking.

I would've loved a stage set at one of the tracks getting destroyed by one of the Colossi. Team ICO is already on notice for farting around on Last Guardian's development.

I would love to fight as a BSpec Bob haha. Whats funny is that that can actually happen.

Special Moves would probably be
1. Run Self off of stage
2. Blindly Swing the opposite of the opponet
3. Drive a Go Kart into opponets shin

A stage on special stage route X where X2010s and X2011s drive by and damage characters every now and then would work, I guess.

If not, include a Skyline Gtr (or twelve) as a playable fighter and be done with it.
