I'm planning to buy a
Honda Fit Hybrid as my starter car. Rented one IRL for my job and instantly fell in love with its amazing fuel economy, deceptively spacious interior, and plucky handling. Even in my wildest fantasies, there will always be a Fit of some generation in some trim in my dream garage, for when I just want a good ol' reliable ride without standing out.
The Atenza Gr.4, RX-Vision GT3, Epson NSX, and 919 are my choices for Groups 4 to 1. I've only ever signed with Mazda in FIA, and always will, no matter how abysmal the
Atenza Gr.4 is. With the Atenza Gr.3 bopped out of contention, the
RX-Vision GT3 is the smart choice for Gr.3
(even if I don't like it much...).
The
Epson NSX is by far the best sounding car in THE ENTIRE SERIES, and I will fight anyone who disagrees! Unlike the silhouette cars of 2016, the 2008 NSX looks like a NSX, screams like a NSX on steroids,
IS an NSX! And that roof snorkel! Ooh! I mean, yeah, sure, it has nightmarish handling and will snap away from you in an instant, and it's by far the worst car in Gr.2 unless the 1997 cars can somehow undercut it, BUT I DON'T CARE. I
refuse to touch any other Gr.2 car aside from the 2008 NSX!
The
919 is placeholder until the more fuel efficient TS050 is super confirmed to come back.
The
Cayman GT4 Clubsport is Handling Nirvana in my eyes.
HOW is it possible for a car to be so precise and yet so playful at the same time?! The NA Flat 6 sound! The throttle response! The revs! The modest, yet special styling! It's almost as if someone had been secretly studying what I love in a car and made one specifically to cater to me! When Porsche made its debut in GTS, many may have fawned over to the 911, but the Cayman GT4 was what made me realise what Porsche was all about, and made me fall in love with it. It's criminal how a production Cayman GT4 hasn't made it into the games yet!
Outside of manufacturer races, I recognise the need for a MR Gr.3 car, and the RCZ
Gr.3 is by far the most neutral and stable of the bunch with no obvious downsides. It's such a treat to see a rear mid engined RCZ, as the preproduction 308 RCZ Concept was RMR. Also, it has a roof snorkel, which might have swayed me the most of what I just described. Or it might not have.
The last 3 cars are what I envision I'll be using for career mode races for FF, MR, and FR races. The
DC2 ITR is the undisputed king still in how an FF car should handle and feel like to drive, shaming many other RWD "sports" and "super" cars. The
NSX-R, while soft by today's standards, is still such an engaging drive. AND it has pop up headlights!
(though I wouldn't mind a facelifted 1997 Type S Zero with a 6 speed and 3.2... or a 1997 NSX-T... or the 2002 Type R... Why haven't you added these NSXes in Kaz?! WHY?!)
The
FD RX-7 has been my dream car since childhood. It, together with Gran Turismo 2, made me a petrolhead. It is the single most beautiful car ever created. No explanation needed.
If I had space for 2 more cars on my list, the
Amemiya FD and
Z4 GT3 are shoe–ins. But alas.
