Not only be an F1 driver, but to be the best F1 driver ever.

Since Sebastien Vettel is younger than me (and I'm insanely jealous of that fact), it ain't going to happen any time soon ...

Yeah, that.

I bet you wouldnt mind being a backmarker, or even racing in somthing like FIA GT though.

Drive Le Mans 24 hours straight without switching drivers...and win.

Rule the Earth.

Become God's gift to women.

Buy an AE86 Corolla that hasn't been run into the ground for less than $500.

:)

To get a masters degree without 4 years of Uni.

It's not unachievable, but also very unlikely at the moment.

To play football in the Premier League. Or at least in one of the top four English football leagues.

I think Leicester takes a lot of Aussies on board, don't they? :sly: Or is that some other team?

Still..
Then get your ass over here and go to trials! A visa may be difficult though unless you get a cap for Australia. Can't be that hard, can it? :dopey:

Be as good in real driving as i am a Sim driver

To have Jack unpack the dishwasher without having to ask......just once....please!

I'll eventually move out and you wont have to ask, you can do it yourself. :)

Wouldn't that require a job?

My ambition is to see Jack get a job.

I'd like to be successful in my motorsport of choice though.

Yeah, but that is achievable if I happen to become insanely rich. ;) Spyker tests are always for sale, and I’m sure for enough cash a race drive is possible even without much experience.

Except you'd need the experience to get a racing liscence?

300km of F1 testing (which you would buy) is enough to get a Super Licence.

Really!?

And you wouldn't need any of the lower liscenses first!? Makes me wonder why no-one has done it before.

[EDIT]
Wait, Wiki says you do.
Wikipedia
These requirements state that the driver must be either the reigning champion in a lower category of motor sport, for example Formula 3 or GP2 Series (formerly known as Formula 3000), or must have consistently finished well in these categories. For example, a driver finishing in the first three 5 times within the last two years in GP2 will be eligible for a Super Licence.

[EDIT2]Then I read on...
Wikipedia
Under exceptional circumstances Appendix L also allows the FIA to award a Super Licence to a driver who does not meet the normal criteria if a vote reveals unanimous agreement by the members, and provided that the driver has completed 300 kilometres of testing at racing speeds in a current car.
Suppose money can buy it then.

To fully restore my current car (A 1988 Chevy Nova, 4A-G) so that it would be showroom quality..

Finding the full velocity of said Nova, legally.

Have enough political/ monetary swing to set a rallye stage in the local area, going from backwoods mudding trails to various back alleys through the 'Burg.
--Or-- using the 5-Lane wide Rt. 36---> Onramp/ entrance of I-99 ---> End of I-99 as an all-out professional (Read: No sh**box ricer wannabes) racing event....something similar to the Nevada Silver State challenge, or Gumball Rallye's.... Get the idea? :D

Convincing my girl a Charger is actually a decent future car idea, as oposed to her desired Wrangler..

Killing every Prius I see, with any weapon I deem appropriate, be it sledgehammer or dropping a 300' long concrete I-beam, from a crane.

Creating a device that is harmless, yet can electrify the air from harmful insects in a fairly large radius. (Summer nights, mosquitoes, anyone?)

Ordaining a Lifeguard for the Gene Pool.

Finding a GIANT oil reserve, on a part of our property, that will aid gas prices back to the levels seen in the 80's.

Living a life that will not work me until I die.

Seeing lost relatives, healing old friendships....second chances at first mistakes... That's all I can think of, at the moment.

Cheers,
Jetboy

To design and build my own race car from scratch, get a racing license, and begin to compete as a privateer on some level. Or starting a new class for cars like mine.

After the Asian Cup, I'm sure I can do better than the way half the hacks on our team are playing. I'm also quite confident I'm a much better player than that damn Luke Wilkshire. Ugh. In fact, I'm sure you are, too.

But I can come over there and play any time. My Dad, his brother, father, mother, step-mother, and entire family were all born in England. Half of my mum's family were, too. So, in a way, I'm more Pom than Aussie. So I can come over tomorrow and raid your fridge if I had the money. However, that poses the biggest problem. I need moneys.

The lotto people are no dummies – they know how to work the odds.
Lottery = a tax on people who are bad at math.

It's just like a casino - all you have to do is walk into one and look around for thirty seconds to realize you can't win! Guess who's money built the place?!

Go two weeks without taking my right side rear wheel off to tighten the adjustment bolt on my alternator.

 You're the one who decides to KEEP the Fiero, you're not allowed to complain. :p

$10,000 in my bank account.

That's really all i need to be happy at the moment.

Just apply for a joint UK/Aus Passport and you could stay here FOREVER!

But the money issue... Errr.

I'd like to be able to sell my music and become comfortably rich.
Though all I really have is a "journal" of outstanding lyrics.
But only about a dozen or so are complete lyrics to songs. No music though.

I'd prefer that to being a performer, because I have a "thing" about my privacy.

Barring that, I'd like to live in Nashville, and be an in-demand session singer.
I figure I could work 2 or 3 "3-a-days" (Three sessions a day) and spend the rest of my time on my lovely wife, and my truly awesome children, and soon my grand-kids. Ten years ago the going session rate was about $300.
Six sessions a week would keep me in the "style in which I've become accustomed" only with better guitars.

I'd love to design and build my own car.

Unlikely to ever happen.

I want to take over NASCAR and give the teams some freedom for example I would make it so they cold use fuel injection and distributor less ignition and have it so there could be different size engines that they could choose to run (High Boost I-4, Medium Boost I-6 or V-6, NA V-8) and so on...

Id want to take over the world, convert the world to Ninja's, and then watch the whole thing implode.

I'd like to have enough money that I didn't need to worry about providing for my family, and could mosey around as a semi-pro photographer.

I'd like to have enough time to do anything at all, really. Beyond working and looking after the family, there isn't time for anything.

Funny you should say that. This afternoon I was thinking about how when I was around 14-15 I used to get really bored simply because the days were so long. Now, my day flies around. By the time I get back from the gym, have dinner, iron my clothes for the next day I have a couple of hours to myself. I can't even imagine having children to look after aswell. I applaude all those GTP members with families who still take the time to contribute to this site.

Who said I was complaining? :p

Actually I found out why it kept coming loose. Yesterday morning on the way to work the bolt broke off. I guess I tightened it too much once, it looked like it had been stretching.

I'll have to think of another unachievable ambitions now.

Hmm... this is a tough one...

All I really want to do is quit smoking...not unachievable but damn hard.
