You're not cold because you're fat

Umm, Blake...

It doesn't matter.

Angry Mob of obese people chasing you? Run past a doughnut shop!

That'll shake them off.

Actually, theoretically, I am JUST UNDER overly obese... on a BMI calculator.

210lbs and 5'6"?

Yeah, I'm a big boy. Guess what? When I fall, I have a bit of cushion!

And when you go over the bars on concrete, that's a good thing.

Fat people falling is SO funny though. Even when I fall, it cracks me up. If you ever have a crappy day just think of fat people falling. I was at a Marlins game with my neighbors and their mom (who had the biggest ass in the city. god it was gross.) tripped on a crack in the sidewalk which was uneven. I watched it happen and it was so bad. she just turned around and then bam, that slomo fall right on her knee. she had to wear a knee brace and crap, and I had to watch over her kids. It totally sucked. I swear the ground shook though, and I couldn't help but laugh my ass off to myself after thinking about it later. I still have that slomo vision in my head. like "ROOOOAAA*BOOOOOOOOOM*"

Is that wrong of me? Sorry.

They always have the last laugh when i'm the first one out of the pool shivvering though.

That's so true. My chubbier friends can swim in the water just fine, when I don't dare go in.

I'm not "overweight" (6'2" 215) and i stay hot all the time. I keep my a/c on 65*F i'll be burning up and my fiance will say she is freezing to death. In the winter i never wear long sleeve shirts or sweaters and keep the heat on 65*F i don't wear a coat till it dips below 40*F. So obesity can't be the only reason they are hot.

if u think of all the overweight people now we now why usa uses so much energy,

oh well lol

Fat people killed my dog.

MrktMkr1986
Sorry to hear that. Would I be correct in assuming that it was an accident?

I doubt it, fat people do that sort of thing on a regular basis. Theres a very fine line between eating too many pies and murdering pets - fatties cross that line all the time

Oh yes it can.

You're young, you have a raging metabolism. As you get older it will slow down.

There's a woman in my office who wears thin, light, skimpy clothes all the time, even in winter. I guess she likes to show off how skinny she is. Then she puts a space heater under her desk even in the summer.

Me being 50 pounds overweight is not the reason she is cold.

Hahahaha. did she jack the threads off all her daughter's barbie dolls?

Hmmm... that makes me want to crank up the heat at my office - maybe I can get a few more of them to wear less clothing.

On the flipside, how do I tell all the old women in my office who wear sweaters in the summertime, that 85 degrees in the office is hot and all the 20-40 year old men have sweat stained pits because they keep turning the air off? I mean, it's 98 degrees outside and humid! We work in a cheap office space for lease building with poor insulation, I way less than 200 lbs, and everyone under menopause age complains about the eat. We outnumber these old women by 50 to 1 but they act like they run the place and no one wants to be rude to them because they reminds us of our mothers and grandmothers.

The only time they agree it is hot is when they have a hot flash but that goes away in less than an hour.

My office just fired the fat sweaty guy because of hygiene issues. After his final warning he managed to poo his pants. No one felt sorry that he was gone. If your nickname is Shrek then you are the fat sweaty guy.

Corpulent, overweight, obese, stout, porcine... but not "fat". :dopey:

You forgot plump, chubby, elephantine and meaty.

What have you all got against fat people?
I think your just jealous because i spend alot less on heating bills than you.
Then again I probably spend alot more on eating bills than you.

...and air conditioning.

Try going to Pakistan in the winter. Average temperature is 20-30 degrees celcius (ie, ranging from hot to damn hot) and people complain about it being cold. My cousins who are all in their 20's and 30's were going out in full sleeved clothes while I was trying to figure out whether or not taking my shirt off would severely offend their wives :irked:

This is precisely why I won't be going to Pakistan, and is also why I have never heard of fat people going to Pakistan.

If it is going to be hot year round there better be a beach with blue water, margaritas, and scantily clad women.

 Breaking news: Fatty spotted in Pakistan! :dunce:

Have you SEEN what goes into pakistani food? I'm surprised that more people there aren't morbidly obese! You hear about heart attacks on a weekly basis, but never weight problems. Then again, old women there have a tendency to put on a good deal of weight.

As for the beach, they have one, but it's brown water and the sand is pretty gritty. There's also no margaritas or scantily clad women in sight - unless you know who to talk to and where to go. That stuff is frowned upon since the country has a predominantly Muslim population and an extremely conservative culture.

I think he wasn't expressing what he wants in Pakistan, but, rather, giving a basis for why he's not about to go there any time soon.

Exactly! If Pakistan were a tropical paradise I would go there, but since all the things I need to define a tropical paradise are frowned upon I will probably avoid the country.

Office temperature update. I walked into the office this morning and had to turn down an air conditioner and turn off one floor fan. Who are some of these third shifters in this place? Although I give it an hour before the old ladies come in and start turning on the heat.

What have you all got against fat people?

I try not to put anything against a fat person :yuck:

I'm a big guy, but I don't get very hot most the time. I get really cold, really fast.. One of my freinds is bigger than me, and we have to stay in hotels for school trips, and the first thing he does is jack the thermostat all the way down... and When everyone wakes up, Its colder than a mofo, then we tell him that and he says "What are you talking about, its hot in here, I wish I could turn it down lower" It sucks, cause Im just wearing a pair of shorts and my boxers when I sleep, so I wake up and have no shirt on, it is sooo freezing I have to take a hot shower ASAP. I hate going on trips with him :indiff:

So, who is the more selfish? The fat person who wants it cooler, or the thin person who wants it warmer?

There are two sides to every coin...

They're both equally selfish - which isn't a bad thing.

But AC costs money, so the thin people are costing less in the summer.

I wasn't trying to pass judgement though with this thread. I was simply venting about people who don't realize WHY it is they they're hot (or not cold) while the rest of us are freezing.

Natural gas costs money, so thin people are costing more in the winter. PLUS they usually run little electric space heaters year round (not enough heat in winter, too mcuh AC in summer).

So I'd say thin people are the miscreants here.

Nah, I say the miscreants are the people who want the temperature more than 2-3 degrees above/below 21 celcius

Around here, that takes a fair amount of energy to maintain, though it's a perfectly comfortable range.

Same here. Our summers are incredibly hot and our winters are freakishly cold. The only solution to save energy is better insulation which most home builders tend to skimp on (as far as quality is concerned)
