Solid, Touring, Diego! I'm loving it! I loved pretty much everything so far, and that Vitor Wooten puts a big smile on my face when I saw he did that on a 4 string! So that means when I get good... Oh thats not going to happen.. Anyways i'm really loving this music! I might put another one up of a few soloist that I don't know if you guys of heard or not.

I might put up another prog-related post during the weekend. And another jazz-related one too... we'll see. For now, I'm off to bed since I have an early tennis match tomorrow :)

KMARS Psychedelia :)

Fleetwood Mac - Dragonfly

Peter Green's original band was a very different one to what most people think of when they hear the name Fleetwood Mac...

Pink Floyd - See Emily Play

Syd Barrett's influence on Pink Floyd was profound and long lasting, even if his own career was to be curtailed by mental illness

The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever

Recorded as part of the 'Sgt. Pepper' sessions, Strawberry Fields Forever was released as a single and wasn't included on the album, as The Beatles frequently did with their singles.

Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit

Classic psychedelic single from the album 'Surrealistic Pillow' (1967)

The Nazz - Open My Eyes

Just discovered this song today after not realising that I have this song in my CD collection... An early outing for Todd Rundgren

Solid's Favorite 80's Songs Vol. 2

The Damned - "Alone Again Or"

Haircut One Hundred - "Love Plus One"

Adam Ant - "Stand and Deliver"

Barnes and Barnes - "Fish Heads"

Devo - "That's Good"

Ha ha... nice selection! "Stand and Deliver" has to be one of the most classic pop videos ever - (alongside 'Prince Charming' too...) What the blazes is that Barnes and Barnes video all about ? Pretty bonkers!!

Fishheads was a classic song, (it was, here in SoCal) in the mid '80s. It was a film short project for a couple of actors who were attending film school at USC. They went to garage sales for all those wacky items they used in the film. It was very popular here.

Midnight Runner's Rock on Balkan:

"Machina" by Father.

A Croatian band(song sung in English though). Excellent video IMHO.

And the song is probably the best when you play gt4.

"Zenu Varam" (Cheating my Wife) By Let 3.

Let 3,also a Croatian band. Although you wont understand a thing,I find this vid rather funny.

Bobby McFerrin DoubleTake

Bobby McFerrin @ Montreaux

This is an incredible performance - starts off slowly but once you work out what he's doing, it's quite amazing!

Concert Solo

A stunning example of how Bob McFerrin can seemlessly move through the octaves in the blinking of an eye

Rick's The Best of Motley Crue Tribute:
Motley Crue - If I Die Tomorrow.

Motley Crue - Kickstart My Heart

C'mon, you know this song kicked total ass back then.👍
Motley Crue - Dr. Feelgood

Motley Crue - All In The Name Of...

Motley Crue - Live Wire

Replaced Girls, Girls, Girls, with Live Wire. It's too hard to find a GTP friendly video of Girls, Girls, Girls, anyways. :)

*Notes: These are all Live performances excluding "If I Die Tomorrow" thus not the best quality. However, I didn't think anyone would want to see some of the original videos, lol.:)

Happy Xmas GTP

John Lennon - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)

Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmas Time

Greg Lake - I Believe in Father Christmas

The Darkness - Christmas time (Don't let the bells end)

data Panik (Whoever they are! Original done by The Waitresses) - Christmas wrapping

Personal Playlist Vol. 1

Erasure - A Little Respect

Infadels - Jagger '67

Snoop Dogg - Riders On The Storm (no music video, just a pic and music)

Mark Morrison - Return Of The Mack

Daft Punk - Robot Rock

Erasure - A Little Respect
One of my favourite recently discovered videos - for such a serious song, the video is intentionally funny - check out the references to the different types of 'soul' everytime he says the word, starting out with a clip of the 'Seoul Olympics'... Also, at the end, Vince Clarke takes the P away - I don't know if this is meant to be a joke, as in 'taking the pee'... I guess it is! There's also a veiled reference to Vince Clarke's former band, Depeche Mode apparently... (when he spray-paints the megaphone)

The best Xmas song - ever!

The Pogues with Kirsty McColl - Fairytale of New York

David Guetta - The World Is Mine

Brad's Work-Time-Fun Playlist

In my tenure at Steve and Barry's University Sportswear, I've come across a bunch of songs, music videos, and other random crap to generally expand most people's horizons when it comes to music. What we do play is a pretty decent mix of current and quasi-classic songs, however many of them are very Indie in nature, and trust me, thats much better than listening to Beyonce and Jay-Z all damn day... Shall we begin?

Hot Chip: Over and Over

Generally, the song is only so-so, but I love the video so much. Get the guys together, jumping around like idiots, and it is a nice thing to see while you're folding tee-shirts for eight hours a day, over and over/I].

Fiest: Mushaboom

I love this song, it always puts me in a good mood. The video is a bit trippy, but I still love it. Yet another video that is always good to see when I'm at work.

Sondre Lerche: No Ones Gonna Come

I love Sondre Lerche, and I owe it all to my job for pointing me towards his music. This is indeed the first song I had heard from him, probably the one I like the best, and as for the video, well we'll say it is average. Everyone knows the Music is more important anyway...

The Killers: All These Things That I've Done (American Version)

Everyone knows that I <3 the Killers, big time. All of their videos are pretty great, and this one probably stands out as one of their better ones from Hot Fuss. Their new videos are great, but I like the strange simplicity of the earlier videos.

Depeche Mode: Precious

Yep, I love this song. I love this band. A great song to listen to while I'm at work as well. But hey, isn't thing song in the game Rush: 2049? I swear it is...

Iron Maiden-The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg

This song is from the "A Matter of Life and Death album". A short version of this video without the acoustic intro has also been released.

Iron Maiden-Hallowed be thy Name

The original song is from the The Number of the Beast" album (1982), and this live version is from the "Live at Donigton" (1992). This is maybe the best performance of this song.

Judas Priest-Hellrider

This one belongs to the "Angel of Retribution" album (2005). This live version was in 2005 too, don't know the name of the live though.

The F.B.I Club, Edinburgh, 1992
(Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Drinking and Making A Complete Arse Of Myself)

Here's a playlist of songs that I remember from the good old days, when I was a 1st year undergrad student, learning a whole manner of bad habits! Held every second Saturday at Edinburgh's Moray House Student's Union, F.B.I was the best 60's/Rock nightclub in the city, and featured many staple songs that were played (practically in the same order) every week, with the odd new song thrown in for good measure. No night was complete without the following 5 songs, and also 'I Am The Ressurrection' by The Stone Roses, 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' by Nirvana, various 'Suede' and 'Blur' songs, and 'Sunday Morning' by The Velvet Underground as the lights came on at 4 am to tell you it was time to go home (and, if you were lucky, you'd also see for the first time that the girl you had been chatting to all night was actually quite attractive after all...:sly: )

The Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil

The daddy of them all, this song was guaranteed to fill the dance floor. Although at about 8 minutes long, it was a knackering experience for us unfit yoofs. It was the nearest thing I got to exercise for a whole year!

The Byrds - Feel A Whole Lot Better

Inspiring bands like Big Star and Teenage Fanclub, The Byrds were omnipresent in the FBI playlist.

Lou Reed - Vicious

David Bowie - Rebel Rebel

Lou Reed and David Bowie kind of went together perfectly, and these two songs would always get me off my arse and onto the dancefloor. (Note, however, that 'dancefloor' is somewhat of a misnomer... there was certainly a floor, but the shoe-gazing shuffling that went on couldn't really be described as dancing....)

The Who - I'm Free

Crap video footage, but great sound of this Who rock classic (from Woodstock, I believe)... originally from the 1968 album, 'Tommy', The Who would always guarantee a bit of mayhem on the dancefloor.
