Youtube HD hack testing

Youtube offers HD nowadays but still their embedded players are the 🤬 quality in the world. Now there are some smart guys who managed to hack the youtube system, and i tried following their footsteps. after a while i finally managed to do it!

There's nothing too secretive about this 'hack' - anyone can modify the embed code to display the clip in HD if it's available. Simply append &ap=%2526fmt=22 to the end of the video's URL (see here for more). I actually added this functionality to our own YouTube forum tags last month, although I have not documented or announced it due to the fact that it can be difficult for slower machines to play the HD video. Here's a quick sample below. See our help section to learn more, although I encourage everyone to use discretion with these new tags.

I would say refrain from making fun of other members due to a internet connection. I don't like watching HD because I found no point and it does take away bandwidth.

I believe that was bit of an inside joke (they play CoD together, being on the opposite side of the world makes him lag a lot.)

Dont worry he is cool, he calls me alot of things to do with my name in cod.

Words taken from my mouth. We are getting faster internet but even at the moment ours is the fastest out of any Australian in Queensland I have met. Still doesnt load. Biggest load of rubbish ever. Also, I dont know the end tags so if A movie is watched in HD it is either normal quality which is crap or HD which I cant watch...
