The BMW photo has a bad color balance and is faded. They didn't actually race a yellow car. The car should be white red and blue like normal BMW livery. Looking at your image makes me feel like I'm looking at a photo form the 80s. I tried to fix the image but its badly degraded. You can see it should be a white car.

Actually Ivan is pretty close with the yellow/beige color. Even after correcting the white balance of the reference pictures he posted, the car has still a beige/yellow tint.

Your corrected picture is way too blue, and if you see this as a neutral balanced picture on your screen, you should check your screen calibration, there is something very wrong with it. It is easy to verify with numbers too. We can assume the asphalt should be roughly a neutral grey, which would mean about RGB 140/140/140. Your corrected image has values of around 110/140/210, so way too much blue and not enough red.

I'll be damned. I stand corrected.

yep, shift Hue a bit to the red side and you should be good.

I can't remember on top of my head if you have to increase or decrease the Hue number, but I think you have to increase the Hue number a bit.
