I've completely fallen in love with my Zondas! I race them all the time and have 2 of each besides the race cars. The noise they make is addicting, the way they drive is inspiriational. Fully tuned the C12 can take the fight to the Italia and Gallardo. Fully tune a C12S and C12S 7.3 and Enzos and Murcielagos better not underestimate the power and handling of this car. Sports Softs seem like a perfect match even with 900 HP. The pure visceral experience i get when i take these cars for hot laps is simply amazing. If you haven't experienced a Zonda C12 in any form then you are xebriving yourself of an amazig driving experience in this game. I truly understand where Richard Hammond is comig from when he said he didnt want the Zonda to go around the track like a robot, he wanted it to come to the track and EXPLODE!!

I too share a love for the Zonda's. Raced them way back in GT 3 (or was it 4)
I love watching 'hamster drive the zonda b/c his cute little British head hardly makes it over the steering wheel. It's a wonder he can see anything at all.

Where do you hot lap @?
what's ur times?

great post! i truly underswtand what you mean, I have had the honour of being passenger to a 7.3, an incredibly lucky uncle of mine has taken me for a ride in his, the sum of everything; the sound, the speed, the grip, the way people double take as it drives by, and the way that they snap pictures of it at red lights, all together, bring your senses to a climax as the RPM begin to climb escpecially

+1 the zondas are amazing cars. the c12 is the easiest to drive; the others tend to powerslide like beasts!

ive been doing laps of the ring in my C12, totaly stock, with sh tires.

my best so far.

I race my cars mostly at Rome, its an Italian course so it seems fitting. My times there vary from 1:13-1:08 lap times because i run my 525PP C12 to my 600PP C12S there. I dont race my fully tuned C12S because nobody races supercars on Sports Soft tires.

No racing soft tyres? I'll run it see what I get

No, putting Racing Soft tires on these cars kinda kills the experience for me. I like when the car steps out it makes me proud when i can countersteer it and put it back in line. Racing softs kills the soul of the car and tames it, i like it untamed ;)

I feel the same way, try out the standard Zonda C12, I swear it almost sounds like the real car, now if only the Zonda R did..

Yes, Racing Softs are just to efficient. A supercar is supposed to be fun to control and make lots of tyre smoke and have a good laugh, race softs are all about being serious and being fast, which isn't as fun.

The Zonda R sounds good but it sounds too similar to the LM Race Car. I love that one also regardless. Hard as hell to control at low speeds but with the right tune it is absolutely breathtaking.

Love the Zonda's aswell! Great cars and are often underestimated in the game. I have them all but my favour is my R as i have painted it Matte Purple, and it is beautiful with the small green outline on the bonnet...Brilliant! The race car is also a fine piece of machinery.

Definitely underestimated. I've embarrased many Lamborghinis and Ferraris with people asking me how my Standard p.o.s beat their Premium Italian beauty.

The amount of times i have outdone Lambo's in corners aswell is incredible. Great little cars...shame there arent more than 5 really.

Dont get me started on the ones that arent here. I would love a Cique, Tricolore, or an F. I'm just happy the R is in here.

Ahhh the Zonda... what a great car :)

Back in GT3 and GT4 I only owned the LM Race Car, because I hated to have the Zonda's in the same color :ouch: but now, in GT5, everything has changed :dopey: I can have them in any color I desire, they sound terrific, they have good handling, and they have lots of power!

PD should revive the "Italian Avant Garde" event of GT3 to let them battle against Ferraris and Lambos :) That would be epic :)

the zonda R handles like ass i'm sorry to say. maybe its the insane HP but it steers like a boat

the standard models however perform beautifully, just got the 7.3 today i love it

With proper tuning, the R handles almost at the level of the furai!

There's actually a Zonda in London, Ontario. The last time I was in London- that was like over 10 years ago when I used to race MTB at Boler Mountain (believe me when I say, it ain't no mountain)- the most expensive car in the parking lot was still a lot cheaper than the most decked out downhill bike ;)

I have to disagree, the R is a complete monster that keeps up with the Le Mans GT class cars. And i just picked up my second C12S 7.3 yesterday as well, still makes me giggle when i drive this car stock.

The C12 is a great car, just effortless to drive. For a standard it looks quite good too. Wish I'd bought mine sooner. Painted it Reflex Purple. :dopey:

I love the C12 but I hate the C12 7.3 because it's one of the two cars I don't have yet:D Come on UCD, give me one already!:(

Edit: after posting this I tried speeding up the process to get the C12 7.3 by doing the license trick. Seems the game likes to tease me. I refreshed it completely for 5 times now and saw all standard Pagani's, the normal C12 even twice and the '01 version of the Castrol Supra also twice. But no C12 7.3 and Castrol Supra '00

I would drive the Zonda R more often, only if it sounded like this in-game (PD, please patch it in!!!) :(

And for the standard Zonda's, they managed to get the sound somewhat right, although a lack of cockpit view means I don't really enjoy the experience too much :irked:

They are amazing to drive though. The R version can keep up with many of the LM race cars with some suspension tuning. I managed to get it around the Nordschleife in 5:59.295

Zondas are definitely my favourite supercars. I have them all and I frequently take the C12S 7.3 out to different tracks. I like the way they look, like the way they drive and really like the way they sound. I keep my Zondas stock (or lightly tuned) with sports grade tires, mostly sports hards.

Together with Ferraris for me. I like sport medium though for >500HP cars and stock vehicles too.

I do the same with my 7.3 the handling is tough to get used to but very rewarding when you control it. My only gripe is they arent premium.
