zone alarm pro

well i just got zone alarm pro, and i'm just wondering if its anti-spyware and anti-virus system is any good.....does anyone have any experience with the program? does it have a good detection rate?

I'm wondering why you got it, then decided to find out if it's any good. . . .

I haven't used Zone Alarm for quite a while, back when it was just a firewall, no AV or malware detection. The only thing I can contribute is that the questions it asked for allow/block decisions were beyond most users' understanding.

I have used Zone Alarm's suite, but personally prefer using Spybot Search and Destroy, as well as Lavasoft Ad-Aware se for anti-spyware. Between those two, almost nothing gets past.

It seems to be pretty good, but I haven't had Zone Alarm Pro installed for long, so I'm not absolutely sure. The scans seem to be very quick and it does find stuff to delete (marked low, medium or high risk), but I still have Adware SE installed on here just in case.

Though, I find Zone Alarm Pro slow to load and a little over sensitive for my liking. I had to go into Safe Mode the other day to completely delete the IM Security stuff, as even when you turn it "Off", it's still on. In MSN Messenger, it wouldn't show display pictures, voice clips, let me send files properly or let me see emoticons. At least they all work now...
